Walcott only out for two weeks, but Spurs lose Defoe for six!
The Arsenal winger Theo Walcott looked seriously injured when he was stretchered off while playing for England on Tuesday, but it seems that the injury is nowhere near as bad as first thought.
The Telegraph reports this morning that the scan on his leg has revealed that it is just a sprain, and he will be able to return once the bruising goes down in about two to three weeks. So just for a change it is not Arsenal that has suffered most from an international break, but there great rivals Tottenham!
The only other major injury from the match against Bulgaria was thought to be to the Tottenham defender Michael Dawson, and when Jermain Defoe came off in the 70th minute it was not expected to be a big problem, as the player himself felt that there was no major damage.
But after a thorough scan yesterday, it was found that Defoe had suffered some damage to his ankle ligaments, and will now miss at least the next six weeks, including Tottenham’s first three Champions League Group matches, and the more importantly, the game against Arsenal in a few weeks time!

Theo, I wish you quick recovery. And by the grace of the Almighty God, you will still prove to Parker and other anti-Arsenal fans that you are better than Adam Johnson.

STFU u scum walcott has been ruled out for six week as well u don`t need to get excited over defoe`s injury.
(Whats a Spud doing on here?
From todays Guardian: The club’s medical staff examined the 21-year-old at their London Colney training complex, following a scan that was performed on the forward’s ankle at a Swiss hospital after he was carried off in the 13th minute. The scan relieved concern that Walcott would be out for a lengthy period after it showed that the ankle was strained rather than broken. – ADMIN)

The spuds can be very aggressive so we need to be sharp when we play them. They will attempt the northern tactics and close us down to stop our passing game. If we adopt the one touch game we will rip them apart. Somebody please tell Diaby what one touch is!!!

Honestly am fed up with dis ill luck. Its like everytime one gunner steps up a hear den something terrible happens to him. Eduardo 1st, Ramsey 2nd & now Walcott who has bin subject to much critisism last season & d unfortunate thing is dat he might not be able to replicate his form when he gets back. U can see wat injury does to d career of players.

well these are minor things that can result in big issues and thereby ending his best form he has.but then theo should not worry about this and should continue to train harder wif the team to prolong his form

Let us be positive. Theo will be out for a few weeks and so what? We can cope. We have enough quality and depth to prosecute our games in the few weeks that he will be out. After all, last season when he was performing so badly, we still managed. Let us just pray for him. He too can recover as fast as Nasri.
