Walcott – Wenger needs to add to the squad as Liverpool and Man City are dangers
Theo Walcott believes that it is “crucial” that Arsene Wenger adds some quality players to a ‘bigger’ Arsenal squad, and rates Man City and Liverpool as challengers for the title next season along with the usual suspects of Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd.
“We play great football but we might need a bigger squad,” said Walcott. “We also need to keep hold of our best players.
“The boss has said that he is going to spend as well and add to the team. That will be crucial.
“I will be very keen to see who comes and goes. As a team last season it was disappointing.
“We need to move that step closer and maybe should have done a lot better in the last stretch.
“There are a lot of teams like Manchester City and Liverpool coming into the frame now. It is not going to be an easy Premier League.
“We need to concentrate on the future and hopefully it is going to be bright for us next season.”
Walcott has already stressed how important it is to keep Samir Nasri and the captain Cesc Fabregas. If Wenger can manage that and still bring in Gervinho plus a couple of more classy arrivals, there is no reason why Arsenal can’t improve on last season….

I’m so sick of all the transfer speculation going around. I’m pretty sure both Cesc and Nasri are goners, which i think is not altogether that bad considering that gives us about 55-60 mil+7 mil from Gael.
With cesc being in and out of injury (..and he is 24) and Nasri is just plain greedy, I think keeping them might be a mistake, especially for the dressing room.
Take the transfer money and use it all. 60mil+a few from the existing transfer budget will easily get us a couple of defenders (i don’t who we buy as long as we do), another midfielder (would love juan mata) and a striker.
I think it will add some much needed steel to the team. We have nursed egoes long enough.

Wenger definitely needs to buy English players in order to replenish his “homegrown” player stocks… Bendtner, Clichy, Fabregas, Denilson, Mannone and Traore… are all very likely to leave the emirates, and are all considered “homegrown” players… I understand why Downing’s name has been thrown up, though I really don’t think he is a good fit for Arsenal… talented yes, though too one dimensional as a player, in that he a left winger and not much else… he is not versatile enough as a midfielder I don’t think… therefore he is not a typical Wenger midfielder signing… Wenger, as you need to buy English, please look at defenders first… such as Cahill, Baines… Rodwell is another!!!! It is obvious Wenger has to sell before he buys [which is ridiculous for a club like AFC!!!]… Wenger needs to use the Fabregas/Denilson/Almunia/Bendtner… possible Nasri and ‘whoever else’ money better than throwing 17m at a player like Stuart Downing!!! To be honest, if he is going to buy a one dimensional Englishmen, I’d rather see him spend 25m on Bent!! English defenders first Wenger!!!!!

Wenger should keep his promise of a busy summer to add to the squad. It also adds morale to the other players who would wish to leave. i expected the team to be complete before the Asia tour. Am already giving up for the coach and the so called Arsenal board of directors if not board of failures. They seem to be so selfish.

Am tired of this saying we need english playaz why these english always freeze in big stage england hasn’t won anything but we need english playas bull even man utd and spurs froze in front of barca and madrid ,we are the only team those spaniards a scared of in premiership.,we at arsenal need. Strong committed players as long as he can play his heart out for this team am glad..sissoko,samba,matuidi,obi mikhel, just an example. Sell the playas who want to go like nasri and bring hleb back and sell cesc then we play

Went through the dailies this morning and found out nasri and cesc are staying,a breat in mouth is worth more than 2 in bra,if wenger get rid of cesc and nasri,there is the probability that he won’t even spend or if he does,their replacement won’t live up to fans expectations.so I don’t think there will be any drastic change to the squad,this is the best decision wenger have taken for 5 years,maybe we already captured gervinho,adding downing and cahill would be great,TV5 should play @ LB

It’s a high time you listened to your critics. The cacoon you are building around yourself and the Board is the greatest enemy of Arsenal today.It cannot sustain the growing up pressure for ever.
There is a fundamental reason why many fans are complaining. Make an effort to be reasonable and find out why. You are remaining indifferent in the shortrun, however,you are simply postphoning the problem.
A revolt has been started and principally so, by your own unreasonable tranfer decisions. Trust me,every day that passes, its growing and its not easy to stop. Time was there when you were the safest manager in Europe.This is no longer so.
You suceeded in building Arsenal Team, but you have totally failled in its sustainability phase.

I am frustrated as the next man, with regard to our business, or lack of it, in the transfer market. However, there is still plenty of time between now and the closure of the “window” and I am sure that Mr Wenger will bring in the necessary reinforcements in midfield and defence. Mr Wenger has never been one for announcing “up front”, those players that he wants to sign, as he knows full well, that the price will go up a couple of million. Having said all that, please Mr Wenger, for my sanity and that of thousands of other Gooners, buy those defenders that we need, NOW! We cannot go into the next season, without that extra backbone,not if we want to see off the rest of the Premier League.

4-4-2 is the formation next season. a left back should be signed tho vamaelin, traore / gibbs (lb), cahil, samba, Laurent Koscielny djorou(cb) sagna,jekinson and ebuoe (rb) ,gervinho on right wing/ebuoe, rosisky (rm),
nasri and fabrigas / wilshire,song, ramsey and diaby on central midfield (cm) juan mata, arshavin, rio miyaichi, carlos vela on left wing(lw) van persie, juan mata left forward (lf) benzima, walcot,Henri Lansbury or stil gervinho on right forward

NOTE THAT BOTH NASRI AND FABRIGAS SHOULD NOT BE PLAYED ON THE WING BUT CENTRAL POSITION TOGETHER. i think even barcelona would pray hard for two red cards from arsenal to beat us.

All Arsenal fans (even me) along with the players agree on one thing: If Wenger does not invest in buying important players then Arsenal will end up going down again and dissappointing everyone once again.So I stongly agree that Arsena Wenger must get fired if he does not show a change of attitude and respect towards all those hoping to see Arsenal fc winning a trophy.
