Was van Persie one of the players that wanted to leave?
Arsène Wenger has perhaps surprisingly admitted that “half the dressing room wanted to leave” over the summer.
Speaking to French radio station RTL, he said “It was a very difficult summer because half the dressing room wanted to leave… You’re preparing for a season where you don’t know who’s going to come in, the players who are staying are asking themselves what’s going on at the club, you’ve got a pre-season tour of Asia”.
Fabregas, Nasri, Denilson, Almunia and Bendtner were all guaranteed to be among those, but was Van Persie?
With the departures of Fabregas to Barcelona and Nasri and Clichy to Manchester City, it did indeed prove to be an eventful summer in terms of transfers. Wenger blasted footballers nowadays – although probably aiming his comments at Nasri – saying that they focus money more than trophies: “Frankly, if you compare what Manchester City have won in the past and what Arsenal have won, then you don’t go to Manchester City to win titles. Players go to Manchester City because they pay much better than Arsenal… There’s always a financial logic behind who ends up being successful in any league. If Barcelona or Real Madrid paid three times less than Malaga, players would go to Malaga”.
These views were shared with chairman Peter Hill-Wood, who argued that “All they [the players] are interested in is more money. They put out other statements but that’s really what it’s about”. This doesn’t always seem the case, as Van Persie could have quite easily followed the Nasri and countryman Clichy up to Manchester City.
Arguably the most important issue looming in Wenger’s mind is making sure the players who wanted to leave back in the summer are happy to stay now – most of all Robin Van Persie. Has enough changed since the summer to have persuaded the Dutchman to stay?

I quote you….
Has enough changed since the summer to have persuaded the Dutchman to stay?
How do you know he wanted to go, or is this a wild guess as is usual amongst bloggers and journalists alike. Some real facts would be nice occasionally as opposed to provocative speculation that simply stirs up the unrest already prevalent around the supporters.

why do you write this shit?
What do you get out of stirring gullible fans into a frenzy?
You know that some people are as stupid as you and actually believe the rubbish?

i think he might not leave this winter or next summer but he will leave very soon unless Arsenal buys players (experienced). He is in the best form ever and with this peak, he needs people that can compliment his effort. I back wenger to re establish New Arsenal Heros. In Arsene I Trust.
