Watford Teenager On Arsenal Radar For January
Yet more transfer speculation to report, but yet again it is another talented teenager, who actually started his career at Arsenal.
Tommie Hoban, a former Arsenal trainee, is the player in question and he is currently in his second year at Watford’s academy. Despite only being 17 Hoban has already signed a professional contract at Vicarage Road, mainly to protect him and Watford from the likes of Arsenal.
Manchester City have also been reported to be showing in an interest, so now that they are in for Hoban what chance have we got of landing him!
Hoban has made just one appearance for the Watford first team in his career, which was in the final game of last season when he came on a substitute in the away game at already relegated Preston North End.

According to a source at Watford Arsenal have been keeping a close eye on Hoban in recent weeks, and it is reported that scouts were in attendance at the weekend when the Hornets beat Birmingham City 2-0.
Hoban has been an integral part of the Republic of Ireland Under-17 squad over the last year, but he has now been promoted to the Under-19 set-up, he made his debut in August, and is currently away in Bulgaria preparing for an Under-19 European Championship qualifier.
A great player for the future of Arsenal maybe, but no disrespect to the lad, or Watford, we need experienced senior internationals when the January transfer window reopens not more kids!

Another profit in the making. That is all we do, bring in kids, make them superstars, sell em for millions. I’m sick of it. If our business model continues this way we will probably end up being relegated, and it will not work anyways as Arsenal will not have the prime exposure of a top team as they used to. Disheartening at the fact that the people running our club have no real passion to win and bring in trophies. Very sad.

Lets get the ship on an even keel and that means MONEY.
Once this has been achieved then we can promote from within and speculate on young blood from outside. There is no cut off point just a gradual transition over the next three years being kick started in January in the defence department.

Cant we just take a break from thinking about teenagers? The will not contribute to us getting to top four this season and this is priority

That shows how insenstive, selfish, arrongant and shortsighted Wenger and the Board are towards the fans.
Its time for the Board and Wenger to go.

I’d like to see some meaningful plan to get us out of our current predicament and not speculations about player development. We need changes or acquisitions to stir this ship to the right course.
