Wenger’s Love of Wagner
With an early lack of clinical finishing, Arsenal have been linked with a wide number of attacking players from around Europe, including the likes of Fiorentina’s Juan Manuel Vargas, Paco Alcacer of Valencia and Norway international Mohammed Abdellaoue, as well as bigger names like Kaka and even Michael Owen.
More recently, though, it is reportedly the turn of CSKA Moscow’s Wagner Love to be admired by Arsène Wenger, with the Frenchman prepared to part with over £12 million for the Brazilian’s signature. To help Wenger’s cause, the Russian club’s president has already expressed his eagerness to let Love go: “We really intend to let Wagner go – after eight years spent in one place abroad you really need to change the team”.
However, with an enviable collection of eight strikers (not mentioning the on-loan Carlos Vela whose future destination is still unclear), it is debatable that Arsenal need any new attacking options. After all, Love shares similarities with Gervinho and, despite his impressive tally of five goals in just twelve games already this campaign, the Russian league in which he plays is not the best platform for proving real talent. Still, whether he would do well in England or not does not change the fact that buying yet another striker would be very Manchester City-esque, wasting what was once real talent in Chamakh and Arshavin whilst not giving the youngsters much of a chance either (barring perhaps in the Carling Cup).
The much-criticised Koscielny and Djourou, on the other hand, are sidelined again, as well as the indomitable Vermaelen. This can surely only help to spark Wenger’s willingness to invest in defence rather than the seemingly back-on-track striking options. However, with Gary Cahill looking increasingly likely to join Chelsea, the beleaguered boss will have to act fast, whichever move he decides to make.

The more depth the better as we have seen with the backline 5 6 or 7 options isn’t enough with the hectic schedule and bout of injuries we seem to suffer every year. Not sure wagner love is good enough to provide competition for van persie but will be a good option on the bench or in a second squad, is still a quality player with lots of european experience and coming from russia wont get all that I hate the english weather and english food bull crud we’ve heard all too often before.
Get it done Wenger, Gooner forever.

Our front line wasn’t as strong as it use to be when we had Henry DB10 kanu wiltord etc. So a few acquisition of proven goal scorer will be more than welcome

Well we need a backup for VP. It should be a proven goal scorer. What about Fabio Quagliarella. He is the striker of Juventus. He is known for scoring incredible goals from unconventional angles that often catch the goalkeeper by surprise. Also his teammate Mirko Vucinic is also a good striker. Either of them will be good for us.
We really need a CdM in January, bcoz of african nations cup Song and Frimpong will be unavailable. I think M’willa is expensive. What about Montoliva. He is the man with most number of successful tackles in Seria A last year. That tells something about him. Also he will be cheap.
In back we need a real tough guys. Someone like Chiellini. He is a man who fight till his heart out. Or get both Cahill and Samba.
Well, I give more dominance to Italians becoz,they how to defens our weakness clearly lie in that department.
But,all upto PROF and hope he will hav bettr calculations than me..

Cameroon is out of the Africa cup so we will have song with us. Finger cross he stay injury free and no more stupid incident that leads to suspension. Otherwise we will have to count on the raw but impressive coquenlin (sp?).

Take a glance at every top team competing for honours – they may dolly up all sections of the line-up but their victories (and fan support) depend on a reliable proven goal scorer aka V an P. Get him a support striker of quality.

wenger should buy Hummels, and another RB, like Fanni.. if anything happens with sagna and jenkinson, djorou will play there and I dont want to see that again. then any replacement for Song, M’vila or Montolivo will be great. and keep van persie, please..

It seems that all those rumoured to be coming in UK summer have been lost and more will be too- Cahill, Samba, Hazard…I hope your ducks are in a row AW and cheques are signed for January or we will lose again. Have to strengthen team all round, especially defence and midfield. Gooner CT

please…..please wenger ,i think how our problem will solve is like this= keep VANPERSIE and show him that you can buy a quality players that cannot let him down, buy players like, most in the striking role,= we need , SAHA/BENZEMA or even LOVE.
in defensive midfield,let buy player like= M’VILLA/FELANI, in csae of anything like AFRICA-CUP of nation.
in the of defenders, we have defenders , but the problem there is how to get the perfect/one, though no one is prefect in very thing but what I’m implying is that to get the defender that can pair with VAMELEAN . every one knows he’s an injury player, so why can’t we use this opportunity that he’s injured and sell player like SQUILACHI and MIGUEL or you loan them or are you afraid of talking to your players?.. every one knows that FAGUSION of manchester-united cannot take that nonsense from players, now look at what is happening in MACHESTER-CITY now (TEVEZ) behaving strangely to the club, so why won’t him give him that suspension ?, but is because he has a lot of players that cannot even give oneself chances.

there one thing i forgot to say,why can’t you buy this player(MARVIS-MARTING) he has this VISION /VERSATILE/ ABILITY/GOOD AGGRESSIVE in the pitch, i have watch his game, his a bit like of (XAVI& FABRIGAS) and you really no what we are lacking now (stop pretending)and don’t forget to buy SAHA you’ll enjoy buying him and remember he has played in MANCHERSTER-UNITED before,YOU GET HIM ,he’s good despite the fact he’s LEFT-FOOTER van-persie is also a left footer so get him you won’t regret of buying him, before the window begins start hunting him now.

i think a 4-4-2 will be better i mean look how many teams play that formation and its really good you know see ManU they play like that we just need a partner to RvP and that will be the key for us watch the teams that play like us they have a lack of goals because of that just buy another striker and defenders cause djourou and jenkinson are really bad… and in the midfield i think that hazard or gotze can both play in the wings (y)
