Wenger – All the players need is the desire
Arsene Wenger believes that the fact that most of the Arsenal players have never won a trophy will have no effect on the title race. He thinks that the players just need to focus on their desire to win and he has no issue with the lack of experience.
Wenger said: “I am not worried about that, the main thing that I look for is a desire factor – the desire to get the job done,”
“So we only want to focus on our desire, and not any negative ingredient that can interfere with that. I try more to focus the team in that way.”
“It’s important to keep calm, relaxed and focused,”
“Not to rush your game, not to become too nervous. That’s an important part of it.
“Every year we have a stronger second half of the season. I think in the last five or six years we have always had a young team, and they grow up during the season. This year that’s happened again.
“You need belief too because if you look at what everybody outside was predicting for our team this season, nobody was counting on us to fight for the title. So we are doing better than expected, but now we want to get over the line.”
To do that the Gunners just need to focus on each game, and get a run of wins under the belt. Nine wins in nine matches is not impossible. It’s been done before so why not now…..

wats he talking about. when do we ever have a strong second half to the season. we always fall apart. getting knocked out of three competitions in around 2 weeks is not strong. we fell apart last year and we fell apart when eduardo had that injury. wenger is losing it.

Unfortunately he doesn’t realise that u lead by example, wenger you have not shown desire for years now (except u consider kicking water bottles as showing desire) so why should your players

I some how agree with Mike to some extent but i totally disregard his first comment that Wenger is a looser.The coach has put Arsenal to where it is now and counting him as a looser is nonsense. I agree with mike that time has come for the coach to be replaced and i totally hate his policies of not buying skilled players.
