Wenger – Arteta is fantastic! He is a man of action not words….
Arsene Wenger is more than happy with his last minute signing of the transfer window Mikel Arteta, and says that he is already a key part of the new Arsenal squad.
“Mikel has taken a big importance in our team very quickly,” Wenger said. “Of course I knew about his talent, but he is a winner. He wants to win. He is a perfectionist guy who wants to give his heart to the team to win football games.
“He is absolutely fantastic. He’s a guy who can bring the extra technical ability and works hard for the team as well – offensively and defensively.
“We are in a job of action, not of talking,” he continued. “Sometimes we forget that a little bit, that 99 per cent of our job is to act, and one per cent to talk.
“He is in the right process there – he acts, he does. Every day I always feel that top-level people act in a consistent way, and consistency in quantity is how you can define Mikel Arteta.”
High praise indeed from the French manager. Perhaps he will become known as “the new Cesc” as the season progresses. He certainly has the extra age and experience that was missing from Fabregas’ CV…..

Although i wish Arteta had of been bought years ago it is definitely better late than never. He runs the game, and seems to relish finally been at a big club and playing CL football again. My player of the year so far…

And according to the media, he was a panic signing by Wenger. Well, if the panic signings are this good I’d wish Wenger does a couple of them every transfer window. The fact that this guy has the second highest successful passing rate, only behind Xavi, shows what a masterstroke of a signing he was. You’ve gotta trust AW. He’s always right, even when he’s wrong!!

what he brings is something that is overlooked and undervalued and knobody even knew he was capable of, he brings function to our midfield, no we havent seen the best of him yet technically but thats testiment to how much hardwork hes getting through. he does the dirty stuff that allows others to play but thats what you get from a dedicated seasoned pro with bags of pl experince and class. just look how parker is transforming the spuds and england and i made no secret of wanting parker here, but now we have arteta im more than satisfied. best sighning in years for many many reasons.

arteta has been a outstanding player for us since hes been at the club , and has brought some real steel aswell as the passing ability and vision he has. but he has really given his all for us over the games we have played and been at the center of us getting back on track ….. if wenger bought a few more players e.g. lukas podolski or mario gotze and maybe look at some other areas in the squad in january , we could have a real go in the champions league this year n get a little bit of luck we could win it … but its too soon to get ahead , we play everton the city so lets go gunners …

arteta is a fantastic signing. he helps us keep possession and has been the most consistent mid. rarley gives away a pass i just wish afc got him a few years ago then imagine him and fab together. he is also starting to take risks going forward which is good as he can score from range and pick out a pass. olympiakos game proved how poor we are without him.

Is nice to have him at arsenal. Playing like he is doing rite now. He vision is excellent and hes defensive part of the game is what i luv most. This was what was lacking with cesc he made the midfield much more stronger and made song’s job much more easier allowing alex to join the attack. Hes the signing of the summer. He long range gol again wigan was absolute a craker. Song arteta and wilshere wil be a great combination cant wait to watch

In a long time, Arsenal hasn’t signed someone that can POUND THAT BITCH HOME! Petit, Parlour and Vieira used to do this. These players didn’t know how to score average goals. Most of them were astonishing superlatives in motion!
Arteta comes from the same bloodline and we’ve seen him do this for Everton countless times. Sometimes Arsenal requires this direct route to goal! The Ox appears like he can offer a blood transfusion for his Spanish counterpart any given day. He definitely has a CHAMBER of power locked in each boot, like it’s LAIN restlessly for years ready to explode!

Arteta is ‘Arteta’ and Fabregas is ‘Fabregas’. Both players are unique in their style of play. One thing that is quite impressive about Arteta is his recovery rate defensively which has endeared him to a lot of people even outside the Arsenal fans circle. Red DB 10 just displayed football ignorance in his analysis of this rare midfield maestro.

@RED DB Have you wondered why all of a sudden RvP is scoring more goals than when Cesc and Nasri were around? Two things have changed since then. Arteta and Gervinho. That should be enough of a reason why Arteta is a great asset to our team and above average midfielder. He also has a powerful and accurate shot. Cool headed and experienced. I’ve only see him have one bad game so far.

This is why you have to respect AW, he sees talent and knows how to get the best out of it. Fab has come and gone but he will never be the same player like he was under AW and for own info he wasn’t complete under AW project, he was still growing and i can’t imagine where he would be now. Del Bosque will soon be knocking on Arteta’s door coz he is seing something that he had probably never imagined of him.

Arteta’s great, he is in the mould of Cesc … a great passer … has good vision and can definitely shoot well. And cos of all that I think Gotze’s signature can wait … I would rather see AW break the bank to sign Eden Hazard instead.

The good thing abou wenger he dosen’t do alot pf transfers but when he do it will be the best of all . Ex: The Fantastic Arteta and the Awesome Gervinho.
