Wenger believes his strongest Arsenal squad for a while are as good as anyone !
Going in to a crunch game against last year’s champion’s will give us a good idea of how much better Arsenal are this season than last, and may finally stop the constant talk about how the departure of Alex Song and Robin van Persie has left the Gunners bereft of talent. Arsene Wenger has spoken about this season and has said that he does not think there is an obvious choice of team who look like title winners.
“I feel it is very unpredictable at the moment.
“You have no team that gives out the strength that makes you think they are unbeatable. None of the teams that I have seen gave me that impression.”
Chelsea have the best figures so far, having won four and drawn one, but they have not been very impressive. All of their opponents are in the bottom half of the table, with only Newcastle being seen as a tough test, and they are off form at the minute. Okay Arsenal and Man City failed to beat Stoke, but we were away to Stoke whereas Chelsea were at home and were lucky to win. They were totally outclassed by Athletico Madrid in the European Super Cup and only just hung on for a draw against Juventus.
If Arsenal can perform well today and clinch a victory, it would be hard to say that there was a better team so far in the league. Wenger was asked about his current squad and whether it was the best for a while and he is very positive about it, especially with the players due to return from injury.
“In terms of quality and numbers in midfield, yes, for sure.”
Time to prove it on the pitch today!

well its true…even the reserves have talent…just go watch Toral, Eifeld, and Gnabry…together with Ryo, Campbell, Frimpong, Coquelin,
and experience guys like Ramsay, Wilshere, Gibbs and Jenkinson..

Always argued that the side was improving all the time, but more an more it appears that egos cost us the title over the years. We were always close by up to a point then we would fade. Arsene seems to be addressing the ego issue by showing players that if you are not 100% committed to the cause then you will be sold.
Theo is seeeing that now, and i hope he recognizes how much better the team would be if he committs by signing a new contract. The team at the moment is still missing an enforcer, a real tough tackling DM who would dictate the game when needed. This was evident in the first UCL game where we failed to dominate in midfield. This problem will be again tested today vs Man City especially when Yaya Toure is pushed further forward. Hope fully Bouldy would have the side organised to counter this specific threat.
All in all things look good at Arsenal and that belief is slowly building amongst the expectant fan base.If we lose today its not the end of the title tilt so go out and just play guys. Good luck

On the Artical the last line said numbers in midfield, yes, for sure.” i would think another striker and defender will be signed in January I would hope Ba and Hangland as they have played in England for a while

I’d rather spend what Chelsea and shitty have spent to be successful. They have won more than we have so it can’t be bad can it. We are selling our best players we they ain’t and they are buying quality while we are buying shit.

they need games to improve and build up the experience and confidence….
confidence and determination are very important to a player…for any sport
Together with games…the player will improve…

@ babajhan… when did you start supporting Arsenal? Only Manure and liverpool are bigger than Arsenal in terms of trophies. We have won 14 League titles, several FA and League cups. The only thing chelsea has we dont yet have is Champions League. One of the things we have that they dont is DIRECTION. Mancity is a different case altogether. if we spend half of what they have spent, we will win the league for 7 years and our reserve team will come 2nd for that same 7 years.
