Wenger believes that The Ox is ready for regular starting spot
The young Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain caused a furore when he was withdrawn by Arsene Wenger during last weeks League match against Man Utd, but although the manager thought that The Ox was looking fatigued in the game, he now believes that the 18 year-old is mature enough to play every week.
First off all Wenger was asked if The Ox could be favourably compared to a young Wayne Rooney, and he couldn’t disagree. “He looks to have the same fearlessness,” Wenger said.
“Now he has to show that he can play all the time but I believe he can. We have produced more players in the last 15 years than all of the top clubs in Europe put together and we are not scared to play players when they are of the level. I believe he has that level.”
“He can play centrally as well but he has grown up as a winger,” Wenger concluded. “And now I think as well he can play central midfield because he can produce a long pass, he can dribble. At that age, you know, you start first on the wing.”
So that sounds like Wenger thinks that Oxlade-Chamberlain could be a candidate for Jack Wilshere’s role in the team. Perhaps the Ox could give Ramsey a few weeks off…..

I think the ox would do a better job than ramsey in central mid field he is quick, strong, and doesn’t lose the ball easily plus he is a smart player…can’t wait!!

The OX for Ramsey is not a direct switch as they have different roles.
I sense that Wenger is considering starting the youngster to get a bit of pressure off his back and keep the fans as happy as can be with the current form.
The problem we have is balance between young and old players combined with quality.
The younger players should always have some senior players on the field to provide mental and physical strength but the thing is our more senior players are just not good enough for the younger lot to look up at them.
Think of what a difference it would be for the likes of OX, Ramsey, coquelin, Jenkinson, miguel, myachi if they could come into the first team with class players like the ones we had ten years ago, Vieira, Adams, Dixon, Petit, Bergkamp, Ljunberg to name a few.
I mention it a lot but we do not sign the best since David Dein left the club and we need to change this quickly because the top class players are avoiding Arsenal in recent seasons and we continuously have to make do with second best.
Fighting to keep in the top 3-7 teams this season is not a coincidence.
To finish off I must state my concern with wenger’s thought of putting AOC in the middle.
He seems to think that just because he took TH from a winger and turned him into the best striker in the worldand got lucky that he can take any player and put him anywhere on the field.
He has totally ruined Walcotts career by insisting to turn him from a striker to a winger.
He has also completely messed up Arshavins chance by also putting him on the wing instead of in the free role in midfield which he has played all his life and continues to do so for the Russian national team.
I will never forgive him if he does the same to AOC because I see massive potential.
Mark my words Arshavin will do very well in the Euro2012 and if Walcott leaves AFC and goes to a club where he actually gets to play up front he will become the player he was before we bought him.
It’s time to stop experimenting and being stubborn Mr Wenger.
It’s not rocket science.
1.Put the players in the position where they know how to play and therefore will deliver.
2. Get rid of the dead wood. I mean why can’t Gazidis sell the crap players to any team or even give them away for gods sake.Is it only talented squad members he can flog and always to his beloved Man Shitty (i will never get over the fact that or chief executive is a man shitty supporter)
3. Spot the best talent out there and avoid going into a bidding war so that the likes of Man shitty, chelski, manure and now PSG come in and take them off us. give the bloody money and get the players.
4. For the love of god man try to vary your system and game play depending on the opposition and also depending on the progress of the game. Everyone in the world knows how to play against us with this one man up front formation. Try something different because the frustration is killing us.
5. Buy players that will fit in to our game. We supposedly play a passing game so why buy Chamakh who is a header of the ball when we don’t play the crossing game?
Board and AW need to wake up fast because the fans will not take this for much longer.

@reddb10 Don’t believe the hype that Walcott creates about himself. He has had 51 shots from the wing this season scoring just 3 goals in the league. If that is a natural striker then i’m the Dalai Lama. Get shot of him pronto I say because he’s using up a place in the squad. Arsene isn’t just stopping him from playing as a backup striker to be stubborn, he’s refusing to play him as a backup striker because he hasn’t shown a strikers’ instinct in front of goal. That can be seen whether he’s playing CF, RW or CB so it’s nothing to do with what position he plays.

As promised when i have transfer news i’ll post it or infomation about Arsenal. Unconfirmed at the momment but hope this goes someway to showing you that im real and have infomation about arsenal way before the media release it. So here it is……
Arsenal are looking to bring CARLOS VELA back from his loan from REAL SOCIEDAD. Vela’s car was at the EMIRATES yesterday and has told Arsenal he wants to complete his LOAN at Real Sociedad. Arsenal are thinking about rejecting the request and bringing him back so he can play on the left side while Gervinho is away or incase of injurys in the strikers department.
IT is unconfirmed at the momment and just speculation so im just passing on the news i hear. If it comes out by the media after a few days/hours you’ll know that i have infomation about ARSENAL before the media releases it. Just a quick note that sometimes news i get does not materialse but very rarely due to the club pulling out and denying all contact. Im 70% sure this is real.

After seeing Chamberlain against United I felt it would be impossible to leave him off the team sheet after that. I couldn’t believe it when he was taken off the pitch.
I think when Gervinho returns, Walcott will be losing his place.
As for the central midfield role, no way, he needs to be left wing, deep playing centre-forward, right wing.
Ramsey and Wilshere are attacking midfielders who play from very deep because both are playmakers too. I disagree about Chamberlain’s long pass. He’s all about running, dribbling, helping with defending and shooting at goal. We want him on at least one of the wings.

One other thing reddb10, when you are one of the top 10 teams in the world with an attacking philosophy you shouldn’t be adapting your tactics to play Swansea. You should be getting on the pitch and imposing your game on them because that is what superior teams do. That’s not arrogance, that’s how Arsenal used to play against everyone and with great success. The fact that Arsenal were not able to do that is what upset me the most. It says to me that this team are not one of the top 10 teams in the world any more. Have Arsenal become a team that should sit back, pack the midfield and concede possession against a newly promoted team ?

@Asif again. Fair enough point about Walcott and Andrei but you can see why he bought them. They just can’t handle the pressure. Poor signings it has to be said but Arsene hasn’t made any more bad signings than other managers with the same budget. I don’t blame him for signing them but I do think it’s time that they left the club.

People i know we have a had a hard time of it in the last few seasons and this one has been pretty horrific but we have to just stay calm and recognise something…we have the best young players(yes plural) in the world, above any club!
Szczesny is the best young keeper in the world, a position we have being tryin to correct for the last 6years! Whatever people think about Aaron Ramsey they have to understand that this is his first full season playing at the club, ok his recent performances have been nothin short of average but the criticism he has got is way over the top_quality young midfielder. Jack Wilshere is in the same bracket as Eden Hazard and Mario Gotze, he is going to be World Class no doubt about it. AOC another future world beater.

i strongly feel, we may not need extra players right now; my suggestion is that why dont we switch some players to different position . For instance why dont we make walcot a striker. He has characters of a good sriker-the henry type, then ox can come in as a winger in the meantime as you guys prepare him for the mid field role.
Mr. wenger, we need to ship out Arshavin-his contribution to the cause at the moment is extreemly minimal.
Question: Where do our interest lie; wining the premier league, making money for the club of fighting for the 4th position
