Wenger – Carroll and Nolan nearly beat Arsenal!
Arsene Wenger was pleased to see his Arsenal team take all three points from yesterday’s match against West Ham, but he admitted that the height of Andy Carroll certainly caused problems for the Arsenal defence, while Kevin Nolan also had two easy chances to score for the Hammers but failed with his final touch.
Wenger said: “You never can completely control Carroll for 90 minutes. You have to fight for him and be good on the second ball. The problem with West Ham is not only Carroll, but is also Nolan on the second ball in the box. We could have been punished once or twice but overall we gave it all to deal well with him. Carroll was really up for it I must say. He did fight from the first to the last minute.”
“It was important for us to respond well and after our defeat against Chelsea, we won against Olympiacos on Wednesday night. We had a difficult game three days later and we knew today a draw was not good enough for us. We went for it. I think we could have lost it as well because Nolan had a very good chance, but we gave absolutely everything to win the game.”
But Nolan fluffed his lines and thankfully Walcott and Cazorla struck to give Arsenal the three points that their possession deserved. But no-one can say that Arsenal had it all there own way yesterday…..

In football, you score goals and lose too. Arsenal lose chances every week, clear chances foя that matter. If all chances should be taken, we would have beaten Shitty and Chelski.
It was our ϑay, period!!!

for Walcott:

Yes he must sign, n oke v c there is a problem of Consistency in our wingers… Is Wenger bound to make Sub after 60 or 70 min :/ He must took tht winger in the beginning of 2nd half wether he is Wall or Gerv or Ox… n give other a chance, we knw all 3 at a tym dnt bcme inconsistant!
So we can rotate… n its nt fare to c A player in good form sit on Bench n other start…
n stop playing wid ST field We can do it in training, Up front Giroud should start every game nw, We cant take chances like we did against City n Chelsea n get loose or draw, We want to win at every cost!
Defence is still great, again a little mistake by defender
Upfront Giroud is nw making good Understanding…. Diaby strength is only misssing
Bt after International he vl b back from injury
Jack coming too, Rosicky n Sagna the Cross machine
next match vl b …….. u knw
Opinions divided. What do you think?

Carroll and Nolan nearly beat Arsenal.
Fair comment.
But Arsenal nearly scored at least another 8 if our fusillade of crosses hadn’t received desperate and lucky defending by the Hammers.

CARROL N NOLAN WERE OK…
BUT CUMON GIROUD IS DIFERENT CLASS THE WAY HE HOLD THE BALL,HIS MOVEMENT AND STRENGTH USED IN A FOOTBALLING MANNER….
CARROL TOO LIMITED..

Good to see most batting aside this pointless post, we get 3 deserved precious points and the writers goin on about carroll and their 2 missed chances like we was meant to stroll thru a game against a team above us in the league who have had an outstanding start to the season who are bang on form and playin in their backyard.
Looking at most of the posts on here after a great result to take into the international break, it seems alot like some of the red top tabloid writers have taken over the posts on here. Its bad enough to see talkshite on the homepage of this site but now the majority of the posts seem more in the vein of just anti arsenal.

I agree it could have so easily been a setback coz Carroll should have given them the lead when Mannone done his air giutar routine, but thats not to say that we would’nt have still gone on to win the game though it would have been difficult with the time remaining.

Lol at the last paragraph. Paraphrasing here -> And Nolan screwed it up each time he struck at our goal and then the Hammers were toast. Nobody could say we had it all our own way, but we could have easily scored 6 goals in that game.

Diaby the sick chicken…we should sell him off as soon as we get the chance. No point in keeping a player who is so screwed..
