Wenger – Chelsea is a real test but we’ll have a go at them
Arsene Wenger believes that Chelsea will be a biggest test for the Gunners to see how much they have really improved since the 8-2 drubbing by Manchester United.
He believes that Chelsea are one of the top teams but Arsenal will be “having a go” at them to see if they can nab some goals on the counter-attack, while still being strong defensively.
“I believe that we have grown as a team compared with one month ago,” Wenger said. “Now we face the real tests of our quality and, of course, that is where we want to show that we have improved. That’s what is at stake at the moment.
“A positive result would demonstrate that we are ready to compete at the top again. That is what we want to achieve of course and we will give absolutely everything to do well in this game.
“We will have a go at Chelsea.”
“Chelsea are up there, they have quality, and for me at Manchester United they showed that quality.
“They are a bit more creative than they were before because Juan Mata has given them something a bit more in the final third.
“They look to be in better shape than last year so it will demand a strong defensive performance on our side.
“We also need to attack them like we used to away from home.”
Chelsea may be wounded after last weeks defeat to lowly QPR, and with Arsenal’s confidence rapidly improving, surely the Gunners have a chance to surprise Chelkski?

Very conservative press release. He needs to remember his players will read this, its kind of a negative like hes expecting defeat but would be nice if we won.
Bring on Chelsea! We can outclass them, we just need to dig deep and play like we know we can.

I have a sneaky feeling we could do very well compared to recent years.
Drogba isn’t playing… Thats a blessing in disguise considering how many goals he has scored against us over the years.
I don’t think we’ll lose if we have a good solid defensive performance. I think we could sneak it if our luck is in 2-1. Or if we defend well and our luck is REALLY in, a snatch and grab 1-0 away win!

This game has come at a good time for us(Arsenal). It will give us a chance to see how we have progressed. Chelsea are at the moment having problems of their own with the John(I didn’t call you a BB)Terry affair and Drogba suspended. I feel we will get a result from this game and I am really excited about watching it on Saturday. My Grandson, Samuel, aged nearly 10 months old, will get his first chance to see the Arsenal, his Dads too tight to get Sky. We’ve got him the beanie hat etc, so we must get a result. We have all been through a lot over the past few months but l believe we are on the way back and with a player or two in the window and who knows what we can achieve. Still the best team anywhere in the world…The Gunners

i really do have a positive feeling about tomorrow, if our game is creative and RVP is sharp n dangerous in front, he have a chance, i’d say a creative play in the first half, and bring on park, arshavin n benayoun(or chamberlain) to explode the match with quick pace and many shots on target…
