Wenger confirms that Wilshere will go on loan in January
The Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he is looking for a top club to give Jack Wilshere some guaranteed first team action in the new year, and is hopeful that a team from the Premiership will request his services.
Wenger said: “I’d prefer a team in the Premier League for him, but a top club in the Championship could be interesting.”
There has been an approach made by Middlesbrough from the Championship, so maybe Wenger is considering that offer, but it doesn’t sound like he will be going to Scotland, where both Celtic and Rangers have shown interest in the talented youngster.
Wilshere said a few days ago: “I would think about it but I think it would have to be in the Premier League,” he said. “Not that the Championship is a bad league at all, but it might suit me differently.
“I have seen things about Middlesbrough, Celtic and Rangers being interested and there may be others, but a Premier League side would be better. I would, of course, rather stay and be involved at Arsenal though, so we will see what happens.”
At this stage of his development it would surely be better for him to be guaranteed a full game every week rather than just play the occasional part as a substitute at Arsenal. Let’s hope that a good strong club comes in for him and gives him the necessary experience.

I think he’d be given a real good opportunity with a good manager somewhere like Everton…..
better send wilshere to a club like celtic..he will get some useful experience and have a chance of winning something with celtic..so he will return with some confidence boost for the next season..
