Wenger – Don’t worry, we are strong enough to deal with Blackburn now
Arsene Wenger believes that his team is much stronger now than when they lost at Ewood Park last season, and although he intends that Arsenal will play their normal game, they are also now mature enough to give as good as they get from Sam Allardyce’s team.
“It is always important that you’re strong away from home,” Wenger said yesterday.
“We had a difficult first game at Liverpool and now we have this second away game at Blackburn.
“In this one it is vital we deal with their strengths – good commitment, an efficient game – but we must not forget to play our game too. It will be a little bit a confrontation of two styles so it’s important that we dictate our style.
“We have more steel than a few years ago when I felt we were a bit too immature with this kind of game. But I don’t feel that anymore. I’ll tell my players to be committed and that means dealing with every single challenge.
“For us it will be important that we are strong in the air because they favour that style. They have Paul Robinson who kicks the ball very long and they have long throws too. It’s important in England if you want to win the title that you deal with all this.
“I feel we have a good opportunity to send a strong message on Saturday.”
This game certainly seems to be building up into a grudge match between the two managers. Let’s hope that it doesn’t turn into a brawl between the players as well………

i’m not saying that we’ll rule the world now but at last we’ve got a better team now physically at the back. and now we’re able to deal with shit players like blackburn.

I’m confident we wud thrash Blackburn 2day cos like Wenger said, we are stronger @ d back nw. Arsenal look decent with their defending rite nw. I’m happy Kos is back, plus Squilacci is on board rite now.. Gives me more confidence defence wise. I dnt c blackburn scoring 2day.., plus i think we wud score at least 3..

kos n Verminator will snuff out all aerial balls cos they are eager and always first to attack d ball , besides the spot light will be on the ref cos he carries the controvesy of spurs vs stoke game in2 todays match so he will be very vigilant to any rough hand tactics blackburn will employ.. we will win this game once we play to our own strengths
