Wenger – Henry will play against Leeds….and AC Milan
The Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has made it clear that Thierry Henry has not just been signed as a back up, but he will be putting him straight into the team to play Leeds, although he doesn’t think he is ready to play a full 90 minutes yet.
“I’m pleased to sign Henry because it took a little while to get the paperwork done, but finally it is done,” he said.
“He works hard, but he is a bit behind physically. In one or two weeks he will be fine. He will be involved against Leeds. At the moment 90 minutes is a bit long for him because he has not played for a long time.”
“The deal is, at the start, six and a half weeks. If he is needed a bit longer, if it is really needed, until the end of February. He can still be there for the Milan game on February 15th,”
Wenger explained that it made sense to play Henry against AC Milan, especially as he has such a good record against Italian teams.
“Yes, he will be in the squad,” Wenger said. “I have given Vito Mannone out on loan to Hull and Thierry will take his place.
“He has good memories of playing in Milan, where he scored three goals against Inter Milan. It is logical to include him.”
Can Henry end up as a real Arsenal legend by scoring the goals to put the Gunners into the next round of the Champions League?

dnt ndrstnd why podolski is afraid of not getting first team action.he wud b prefered than walcott here.while gervinho is away. podolski rvp n walcot upfront.if gervinho back he cn play at the right.cnt ndrstnd why it is so hard to dscuss it.we hv plenty of match.sure podolski nt gonna be only a backup to rvp.he stil cn be on the euro. jst see arteta.even england wna bring him to their squad. stil looking forward till the end of this january period. arshavin hopefully he cud mke his way out then wenger wud bring someone there to replace him.its better if any club tke him early.so that wenger wont do it on the last minute yet again.

offer 10 mil for ba to activate his release clause, ba will come and newcastle wont be able to stop him. the play henry to support vp while ba is at ACN then when henrys deal ends ba comes into the team to support vp and push us into the top four and maybe go abit further in europe.
are problem all season has been scoring goals imagine where we would be with ba’s 15 goals in our tally for this season. i said we shoulda had him of west ham at the start of the season and he ended up going to newcastle on a bloody free! the second best striker in the epl this season was FREEEEEEEEE! OFFER 10 MIL AND HE’S OURS SO JUST DO IT WENGER NOW!!!!!

im wondering if henry will play against balckburn and sunderland?
on 1st feb we have to submit our 25 man list for epl. as it stands we have 18 foreign and 4 homegrown, the max for foreign is 17.
this is different to the champions league where u submit an a list of 25 and an unlimited b list.

Signing Henry was a good idea not only for back up, I’d like to see Henry becoming more involved within Arsenal Football Club once he retires.. For me, it would be very relieving to know that we have a man who truly loves the club working for Arsenal as a coach or any other kind involving player development.
