Wenger – I love you Cesc, Please don’t go!
What on Earth is going on with Arsene Wenger and Cesc Fabregas? It seemed like it was a business relationship that went wrong, but now it is turning into a soap opera.
Arsene Wenger took Cesc Fabregas away from Pep Guardiola (his first love) and tried to persuade him that his life would be better in London at Arsenal, but Wenger hasn’t delivered the trophies and accolades promised when he jilted Pep.
Now Fabregas realises he made a big mistake and wants to return to his first love, and is even willing to leave Wenger with the house, the car, the empty trophy room and everything, but Wenger is hanging onto his coat-tails and pleading with him to stay.
Wenger said today (and I can’t believe this saga has sunk so low): “I love Fabregas and I want him to stay, that is basically it.
“Everybody is free to think what they want. We cannot stop people raising questions.”
I am flabbergasted! It is so blatantly obvious the Fabregas has no intention of living with Wenger any longer, and he has refused to travel to Portugal to play Benfica.
Wenger is now coming out with ridiculous statements like: “He is just coming back from injury and is not ready to play in a game. But he is not injured.”
“I do not want to speak about the transfer of Fabregas because I have done that three years now in every press conference so I don’t think there is any more need to add something.
For Christ’s sake Wenger, just get over it! Fabregas will never again share your life. Let him move back to the lover that promised him the trophies he desired, and he wants to go back and get them before its too late!
You may love Fabregas, but his heart has been won by another…..

Wenger is so sad. Every transfer season Arsenal sells good players and keeps the rubbish ones maybe Wenger needs to learn something from United, sell all the sh*t players and keep the good ones, thats how you win.

The internal politics of Arsenal are way beyond the likes of me but something has to give eventually. My guess is it will much depend on the teams performance come Christmas.
I can`t help thinking that Kroenke is just a little too `silent` and I`m waiting for the cavalry to arrive in the form of Usmanov and Dein.

Sometimes some of u so called gunners make me sick.
Who forced him to sign the contract n u are here saying who wants to keep an unhappy player.
Because he is not happy we should just accept those stupid offers from the stupid BARCA team.
He should rot in the reserves n fuck him fabrigas. Who is he? We are not even after 50 million, We just want 40 and they are offering 27 which can raise up to 33. What a disgrace for our club.

I am still waiting for an AKB to answer this question:
WHAT is the point of a youth philosophy when the youths themselves want to leave the club while STILL in their youths!?!?!
We develop them at a young age, help them gain experience and they WANT TO leave while still young when they reach a solid level i.e. fabregas and nasri. Arsenal has become a training academy!!!
IN WENKER AND AKBs WE RUST!!!

Why doesn’t Ze Sulk take a salary cut at Barca and make the difference between their pathetic offer and what we want. The sooner this sorry charade is over the better. As for Arsene he is thumbing his nose at all Arsenal fans by pretending he has heard our pleas for some desperately needed reinforcements and doing exactly nothing in the transfer window.

You do the maths then Emery, not good enough last term so our preparation for this season is to …… sell and weaken our squad (despite the promises), while keeping hold of two players who clearly would rather be elsewhere thanks.!! Shall we all be delighted by that? No one wishes to be negative about our beloved club but I suspect we’re all realists.

I’m really sick and tired of going anywhere online to read Arsenal news and only finding ant-Wenger posts and anti-arsenal mentalities. Do any of you even support the club? People calling for Arsènes head could hardly do better than he does. Seriously, it’s not like hes a subpar manager. He has kept us in the top 4 basically every year he’s been this side of North London. All he is saying in this interview is that he cares about Cesc (as all good managers should care about their players) and he doesn’t want his friend and colleague he has raised for about 7-8 years. All of you disgust me. There are never any positive comments on this site and it’s obnoxious. If you actually supported the team and the club you wouldn’t be this sinnical about everything. Sure, Wenger hasn’t done a lot this transfer window, but so far he’s done the most important thing, keeping his best players. We still have a strong squad, and with one more defender I feel we are good enough to win trophies, even if we do lose Cesc. The negativity and tension some so-called Arsenal fans doesn’t help the club in the slightest. If you don’t agree with the manager that’s fine, but bashing the whole team and Arsène does not help the club and it doesn’t help you either. It makes you looks stupid and you should all stop.

Your comment about the youth players wanting to leave is utter rubbish. Nasri was never an Arsenal youth player, he played youth football for Marseille, and the Cesc situation is a little unusual based on the fact that he’s a Catalan and his favourite team happens to be by far the best team in the world right now. There’s no need for AKBs to answer your ridiculous question. I’ll turn it round and ask you who could’ve done a better job than Arsene on the same budget over the last 6 years ? I’m losing faith because it looks like another summer where he’ll fail to fix the obvious problems but i would never stoop as low as some of you in insulting Le Boss. After all he’s still had a bigger positive influence on the club in his 15 years than anyone, no doubt.

No Arsenal fan wanted to get rid of Fabregas in the first 2 seasons of this fiasco. Now every Gunner fan wants to see him leave over some transfer frustrations.
Yes I understand that his leaving is inevitable and we should sell him but at the same time many fans forget the quality of play he brings to the field. Without Fabregas, Arsenal looked lost last year. Not too many people know but a study was conducted to see which midfielder in the world was the busiest in terms of assists, goals and overall involvement to make the goal. Fabregas was rated the highest over the likes of Xavi and other big names in the game. That just shows why Barca want him so bad and why Wenger is heavily reluctant on letting him go.
Yes every player is replaceable but when we say “replaced”, do we just look at another name to fill the role or are we looking at replacing the skill level and technical qualities of Fabregas with another name that is just as good? Frankly, and not being bias as a Gunners fan, I still think Fabregas is the best attacking midfielder in todays game. His injuries are the only setback from us seeing what he can really produce when 100%. Losing Fabregas really weakens the team, but then as some of you may argue, who’s to know whether the next guy is good enough to produce what he did over 8 years? We don’t know, but what we all know is if Fab were to leave, Arsenal will lose a world class player. That’ll only leave us with 2 recognised players on that level in v.Persie and Nasri.
All this talk about Mata filling Fabs role is great but I think the kid needs to be broken in or devirginised with the tough EPL before we see his best. Only then, if we get him, will we see the true difference between Fab and Mata. I hate to say but I believe it will be years until Mata ever reaches Fab’s knowledge of the game.
Personally, I do agree that Fab needs to go to settle the team’s morale levels and this in turn will improve Arsenal’s belief in themselves. We heavily rely on Fab to pull us out of losing situations. It’s time we grew some BALLS and get on with it. Initially I really was sickened by the thought of Barton joining, but when I think of 6 empty years, I’m not complaining if we got someone that can be annoying to his competitors. Arsenal have lost that nerve to compete hungrily. Patrick Vieira was a perfect example of having steel nuts to stand up to the mugs in the likes of Roy Keane and any other player with more “GRONK” than class. Petit and Tony Adams were also fierce in teir missions to win. This is what Arsenal needs to finish teams off like we used to. Currently we only have one player of such a nature and that is Van Persie. The guy is a true competitor and loyal to the Gunners.
Anyway I’m digressing from the crux of the point I’m making so in conclusion, if Fab goes then it would be a major loss which all will see as Wenger does. Besides, do you really blame Wenger for “loving” his prized asset? Any boss in any business would love his best worker or someone that delivers all the time.
Maybe it’s time for Arsenal fans to look at themselves and really try and support the team regardless of the decisions made that we don’t like. If Fabregas stays, then are we going to really be upset about that? What will make Gunner fans happy?
You guys decide!

I’ve said it a thousand times, am of that school of thought that Cesc and Nasri can go. Afterall, they are not the best player in world, europe even in the e.p.l. If wenger should keep them, trust me, they will not give in their best. And as its stands now, Arsenal f.c just need dedicated, commited players, even without quality that these can bring us trophy. If Henry,Flamini,Viera,Luiberg can leave. Himself and Nasri are not better than these players so they can go. They have paid their dues, done their best, but was not good enough to win them a trophy at arsenal. Wenger should develop Jack & Ramsey a chance to show what they can do. Cecs was given d same chance when Viera left. With or with Cesc and Nasri, arsenal can win a trophy, with or without Cesc and Nasri, arsenal can never go to relegation. Gunners till the end of the world.

Why does Barca have money for Sanchez but not another 10m euros for Fabregas? Just pay the fucking price and you can have him to sit on your bench you greedy mongrels. You just sold Bojan for about 12m, Jeffren for 8m and Romeu to Chelsea for about 6m. Stump up the cash or leave Arsenal in peace. All your players talking about Csec every day then saying they “behave perfectly” and “have respect” for other clubs is a fucking joke to which FIFA and/or UEFA should be standing in to stop but they don’t because they bow down to the Barcelona’s of the world. Gutless.

In August 2005 Arsenal announced plans to replace most of the bank debt with bonds. The proposed bond issue went ahead on 13 July 2006. The club issued £210 million worth of 13.5 year bonds with a spread of 52 basis points over UK government bonds and £50 million of 7.1 year bonds with a spread of 22 basis points over LIBOR. It was the first publicly marketed, asset-backed bond issue by a European football club.[56] The effective interest rate on these bonds is 5.14% and 5.97% respectively, and they are due to be paid back over a 25-year period; the move to bonds has reduced the club’s annual debt service cost to approximately £20 million a year.[3] On 31 May 2007 the club’s net debt stood at £262.1 million.[3]
That’s 20m quid a year for 25 years D. Bergkamp, you should get your facts straight before making ridiculous claims that it’s everyone else who are the imbeciles. What a stupid comment, where do these idiots come from ?

Its very sad that Wenger has had the likes of Flamini, Diarra, Hleb, Fabregas and Nasri desert him. The team would have advanced much quicker had these players stayed loyal to him.
But end of the day he must take responsibility for this. His policy hasn’t worked and the current signs are that it won’t.

it’s Wenger policy to blame y player don’t wanna play any more for us.
Arsenal were Royal club b4 every player they dreamed to play for us but today the case is diffirent n we are called youth Academy, which is like Ajax but they are 3 time better then us in transfer market as well as in the leauge.
free debt dosen’t sound logic to me…which is wenger target. at the end club can’t run without money for that we need bank which is called loan and later that will be called debt.
when Wenger will succes his target for arsenal by that time we will be playing at relegation zone or championship…after we need to rebuilt the team which will cost atleast +300m, so where the money will come from…or we will put the ashbortun grove to modgage.

wenger policy is just helping Kroenke account…not arsenal.
kroenke is winning profit without spending….and wenger is helping him.
at the end club and the fan will suffer.3 or 4 years Wenger will be sack and kroenke will recover his money by selling his shares.
we will be like leeds.

I never said Nasri was part of the youth academy you clowns. Nasri came to us when he was at a young age (21 yrs) and we developed him to what he is today! That is a FACT! We developed Fabregas and he also wants to leave. That is a FACT! And the rest are happy to stay because they are getting a decent wage for their age and AW likes to play young players!! It’s a training academy!
Anyway, the other youths like jack whilshere and many others in the team like arshavin etc has also asked AW to add some quality. Why do you AKBs keep defending him?

Before copy and pasting financial information, you should know about business first!!
The figures you copied shows that arsenal is managing their debt well with long term bonds. Even after considering the repayments on the stadium, Arsenal have still increased their turnover by millions!! They are recording PROFITS year after year!! They are the 3rd richest club according to FORBES magazine!!
Not only that, it does not mean that the debt on the stadium means that they can’t buy quality players. It’s like saying since I took a loan and bought a house, thereby having a debt with the bank, I can’t go out and buy a car!!!!
You don’t know anything about business so you should refrain from making stupid comments!

Very clever gunnersfan, so you are saying that loan replayments of 20m a year make no difference to the spending power of the institution and claiming that i know nothing about business. There are some seriously delusional people on this blog. Correct me if i’m wrong but does FORBES magazine as you insisted on capitalising consider assets to be a contributor to a companies’ wealth ? In which case the stadium contributes to the wealth of club whereas in reality the expense still outweighs the revenue therefore meaning that transfer revenue is diminished. The players’ value also countributes as they are assets and a young squad will provide you with plenty of valuable assets to sell. In terms of marketing revenue Arsenal perform terribly meaning that most of the value is within the clubs’ assets. Wealth and spending power are not proportional unless you can free up your tangible assets into hard cash.

No it makes no difference in my eyes unless you are concerned about maximizing the shareholders value!! The club has a steady flow of revenue coming in from various streams and in football, you have to spend to remain competitive!! The fans contribute the majority of the clubs turnover through match day revenues. Now they even increased ticket prices. You don’t think the fans deserve some respect as stakeholders!!?
The club has been recording profits over the years(fact!!) AND also of importance is that we have addition funds from selling players over the years, which is NOT fully reinvested!!
And so what if we end the fiscal year with a loss because of buying quality players!?!!! Will the creditors come to repossess the club or Arsenal will be declared bankrupt!? Will the fans be gloomy?! just look at man city, man utd or barca fans – they seem happy when the club wins trophies even though they used a lot of money!!
you say “players value also contributes as they are assets”? hahahaha what planet are you from? so where do you classify them on the balance sheet? fixed or current assets? you might want to consider the players depreciation too while you are at it. hahaha what a joker!

I would rather surport that Wenger goes or else he styles up coz his arrogancy wont help us now. imagine united were the champions last season but they were the 1st in the market to strengthen their lose spots, and other clubs like chealse, man’city, liverpool, tottenham, are all pilling up taff players. we were the club with most problems last season bbut still now we have learnt nothing out of our mistakes and that is because of Wenger’s arrogancy. With the point of cesc, i think we shouldnt beg him to stay coz he is fade up of a fruitless team but stil we shouldnt just lose him as cheap as Barca wants coz he is even worth more than we want out of him.
But then even with or without him (cesc) Arsene should buy players for God’s sake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Samba, Mertsacker, Stekelnberg, Hamsik or Barton, could almost all be brought in and they are all tottaling to the sum of Cesc’s sale or just slightly bigger.
