Wenger – I will be happy with a 1-0 win against Sunderland next week!
Arsene Wenger saw his team destroy Blackburn 7-1 yesterday but he would be more than happy to just take the three points every week whatever the result. The Arsenal boss feels that the four-game winless run didn’t reflect the quality of play from the team, and he now wants them to go on another winning run.
He said: “I felt that recently we had quite good performances but did not get the results. Today we got the performance and the result, which is ideally what you want. I do not give much importance to the seven goals, it is just important we won and played well.”
“As we said before we need consistency. Strangely I don’t feel we played very badly at Fulham, nor at Swansea, nor against Manchester United – in the first half we were terrible but in the second half we should have won the game.
“But every time we just couldn’t get the result and in the end if affects your belief. This will help us slowly to believe again that we could win. To win 1-0 at Sunderland would be fantastic and that’s what we have to prepare for, to produce a good performance.
“It was important to the confidence of the side that we win a game and get three points but the result in itself will not make us win at Sunderland. What will make us win there with the confidence we got today is to continue to play the way we did today. Every game is a new challenge and Sunderland are in a good spell as well. We have to be ready for that.”
Sunderland are much improved since Martin O’Neill took over and are sure to present a much harder challenge than yesterday’s dishevelled and disorganized Blackburn side.
So let’s all enjoy our brilliant win yesterday and hope we are all singing next week; ONE-NIL TO THE ARSENAL!

A win at sudderland is the bear minimum, good result yesterday but lets not get carried away, it’s only three points at home against the poorest team in the league and doesn’t hide the fact that our away form is awful we’ve won only 1 in the last 5! “Pressure’s still on Wenger!”

When you play Ramilson you are 1 man short. When you include Rosicky you are 1 man up. So total we have 2 men additional in the Blackburn’s game, then of course the boys delivered.

I still think arshavin could do a better job than ramsey or rpsicky in that role behind the.striker especially in homeatches like yesterday where we were.so dominant. i think the.condemnation of ramsey is worse than the questioning of wenger. one is a young man of 20 still learning his trade whilst the.other is 67 year old man who is in denial. i agree ramsey is.struggling at the moment but with the amount of matches he has played since.his return from serious injury its hardly suprising. i say use the 3 30 year olds rosicky arshavin benayoun a bit more until ramsey.has recharged. next week i would like to see.coquelin in the midfield alongside song with arteta playing the more advanced role. as for the ox he.has.pushed himself from 5th choice wide man to 1st choice in a few weeks. will.be.interesting to see where gervinho fits in on his return.

I think our criticism of Aaron is just too harsh,he’s only 20,just recovered from a broken leg which I’m sure affected him psychologically and I think he has played nearly all of our games this season,he really needs and deserves the rest he got yesterday.I’m sure we’d see a revitalised and re-energized Aaron against sunderland and the sansiro boys and Arsene was right cos we’re starting to get our balance with our players back from injury,here’s to 3point at tyne-side.COYG

Let keep ramsy aside please cos he has play much games this season without delivering any thing. Using arteta, song and rosicky is goind 2 help us, both d club and their fans. I was seriously happy about d change dat wenger make yestaday. Kosny, song and chamberlain was a gud change 4mi i think, is 4 them 2 rest against sunderland, cos they are not a small club 4 us 2b play away with. About ramsy, let him rest alittle. When ever we’re winnin, then wenger can bring him in 2 play. For d 4back, since we’ve sagna back, let vammitor get back 2 his position. And 4 d front? I think wenger need 2b very careful the way he do subtitued chamberlain. Cos henry and ashavin are all short one 2mi. So adviceble 4 them 2b playin dieyin munite 2go in a mach. Rosicky has been given a shot at the AM. Time for AA23 to get a chance there. The vacuum left by Cesc is the main reason why we’re struggling. Get AA23 in there. I think AA23 behind RVP will be devastating!

No need to play rubbish Ramsey anymore specifically in the
midfield as yesterday,s match vs Blackburn showed ,so hope
fully the Arsenal coaching staff have finally woken up to
the fact that all Arsenal,s recent problems lay in the midf
eld where Wilshere and Ramsey have both missed sitters in
front of goal and cannot get the team going forward quick
enough ,now Arteta and Rosicky need to play regularly in midfield with ben-Ayoun as backup ?

I would be “Happy” with a 1-nil win against Sunderland but is that likely to happen? Sunderland are not the easy game as they were when they were under Steve Bruce. Martin O’Neil has got this side “Steeled up” and they are proving it by picking up lots of points at home and on their travels. What is really important, is that we capitalise on the chances that we make. Against Bolton we made enough chances to win the game comfortably but as we missed one after the other. One felt that we could lose the game after being so dominant and this nearly happened. With luck, the result yesterday will give everyone in the team more confidence and we can go on a run that will take us into the top 4. Well done everyone yesterday, especially The OX,Robin Van Persie, Rosicky and Coquelin who did a sterling job in their roles. I thought the team looked better balanced, without Ramsey, though I am sure there will be some who will disagree.

people just don’t realise the importance of ramsey like i said his fuel has burned out for the rest of the season he’s only 20 for goodness sake and after a long term injury we fans should be backing him and he just not only runs he can pass well if u have doubts take a look at his performances b/w october and mid december for now rosicky should be played ahead of him and as for walcott haters i know he’s not the best player in the world but he is still the fastest which means something and he is someone who buds slowly out of his critics i can see it he’s growing not constantly maybe fluctuating but he’s defenitely growing

I’m not overly concerned about Newcastle- at some point they would start dropping points…we need to beat them comprehensively…
Still feel for the 4th spot – it would be a race between Arsenal, Chelsea & Liverpool…..
We have massive games against both of them & guess results in those matches could potentially decide where we finish end of this season….
I’m sorry but I guess some fans are a bit unnecessarily critical of Aaaron Ramsey … pls look at his service from his return from injury…he has not been fascinating but his workload has been amazing..For those who are extravagant on Rosiscky – well I’m sorry- he might have been good against Blackburn – but pls one match doesn’t change the whole picture…his work-load is far lesser than Ramsey ( which is understanable at his age ) plus he sometimes gets completely lost in the midfield…just for record – he hasn’t scored in almost last 2 years for Arsenal & mind you, he plays as an attacking midfielder…doesn’t speak high, ain’t it???
Don’t know hw many of you remember when last he came closer to scoring a goal…his shots from outside the box misses targets by miles…so pls don’t jump & glorify a player who again is approaching his sell-by expiry date…he has been a good player for us – but that’s about it…..we can keep rotating him, Ramsey & Benayun – all are mediocre & can form decent pair with Arteta till Wilshere comes back ( hopefully this season )
For now, we ave important & difficult games ahead- really hope we get past Sunderland on Sat – would be a difficult game but have a ffeeling that we would push them through….
would also like to see VERMALEAN & Kos pairing at Central Defence with Sagna & Gibbs marshalling the wing backs…And finally we must credit Coquelin for putting up a great show this year in wherever position he has played…Both him & Frimpong are very good prospects for us
