Wenger – I’ll congratulate Tottenham IF they win the League
Arsene Wenger has tried very hard not to get involved with the big debate between Arsenal fans (and players) about whether Tottenham will finish above Arsenal for the first time since Wenger took over the Gunners, and he has quite rightly said that the important thing is that Arsenal finish in the Top Four, no matter where there great rivals end up.
Tottenham have suddenly moved up to be level with Man United, and just three points behind Man City at the top of the table and Wenger admitted that Harry Redknapps team are certainly in a position to win the first Premiership title. “Why not? Mathematically they are in a position to do that, of course,” he said.
“They have good players and they already had good players last season. But I am not a specialist of Tottenham, I am a specialist of Arsenal.
“Tottenham are a good side, they make points but there is a long way to go. At the moment it still looks very open and there is no one who dominates this championship in my opinion.
“Three weeks ago, everybody thought Man City would dominate absolutely every competition. So let’s wait to see what happens at the end of the season. No matter who wins the league, whether it is us or somebody else, we will respect it and congratulate them.
“I just think at the moment that what is important for us is to come back and fight.”
If Tottenham can stay in that position to the end of the season, then I agree they should be congratulated, but as they still have away games to play at Man City, Man Utd, Liverpool and of course the Emirates, so ten points may not seem like such a good lead in a few months time…..

wenger still doesnt take them seriously and that is a big mistake maybe we need another wake up call like the 8-2 at old traford for him to put the hand into pocket and buy a couple of players!!!

The only real difference is they have a squad they can rotate where as we have a very depleted one through injuries. I don’t think Wenger will be buying anyone in this transfer window so all we can do is hold onto their coat tails until our more established better quality players come back.

Who cares about spurs?
Its not spurs we need to focused on its bridging the gaps between us and the manchester clubs.
Spurs have a had a better team and bench then us this season … can we change that? Wilshere back, perhaps, but it is a big ask. Wenger was right, they have a good squad, and they added to that … something we did not do, in fact we lost 50 % of our midfield and did not adequately replace them
We need to forget about our rivals and focus on that 4th spot … only then can we realistically add the strength we need and keep our players … in fact, 4th might not be enough to keep one or two of them

Let me say this. I’m not from England, so I do not feel the bitter rivalry between two London clubs so much. In my opinion, any club other than Mercenary City and Manure should win it. I have always disliked Man United for obvious reasons. Their players throughout history, except for maybe a few I can count on one hand, have always been way too cocky and shown a lack of class and disrespect for other teams. Mclair, Hughes, Sharpe, Keane, Butt, Neville, Fletcher, Ince, Rooney etc to name a few are all players I’m sure we have ‘fond’ memories of. Dirty players the lot of them.
Man City are just a bunch of mercenaries for hire. No heart, no soul. Money and ego is what drives those players. Anyone with a football brain and limitless budget could put a winning team together. That is why managers like Wenger and I’d hate to admit it, Ferguson, are top class. Year after year, with a budget, have managed to keep their teams above the rest.
So I think with the Tots, Redknapp has done a good job with what he has been given. As someone mentioned, he has held onto players like Bale and kept them happy, whilst signing quality players who can make an impact. Most of all, Spurs haven’t won anything in ages! It would be nice to see someone new getting silverware instead of bloody United every year, when they don’t even deserve it.
Respect to those to whom respect is due.
But we are not at the end of the season yet. Anything could happen. Spurs could catch the injury bug, especially with all those tough away games it could be tickets for them.
We have to just keep positive, keep the morale up, and Wenger needs to play AOC more. We will do just fine.

Who gives a f.ck about spurs ItS arsenal I want to talk about hope we can still finish above them if it wasn’t for that bad run at the start of the season we would be ahead but we can thank fab an nasri for that that one but that’s old news now we moved on and alot stronger

You said it perfectly. I also live abroad so I don’t hate Spurs a half that much as I hate Manure scums. If Tottenham win a league, credit to them. I’d rather that than Manure again.

Spurs were able to keep their best players.. We weren’t ! This is why we are fighting for fourth and spurs are challenging for the title .. Simple as that ! Also why didn’t wenger buy Scott Parker what a player he would have been for us .. Strong, leadership, experience and cheap .. He has hugely improved spurs team this year!

how many bad games do arshavin chamakh walcott have to play before wenger gets shot of them..we cant keep carrying these passsengers through games..not good enough for afc..arshavin not even tryin..we need more signings and more exits..samba for strength and prem expierence..should have got scott parker durin the summer..mertsacker too slow..the only way teams like bolton and stoke try to beat us is long high balls in the box..samba used to that muck..fulham last 5 mins was typical of the last 6 years..no bottle when the goin gets tough..needs to be adressed badly

If they win it is your stupid fault Wenger because you have dragged your feet for many years to strength the team. You still have time to sign two quality players – one defender and one world class striker – to avert that happening. Quit messing around and buying cheap useless players and go for class – for god’s sake!

Tbh if we had cesc i think we’d be level with them, they aint that much better the are just punching above their weight, arsene seems a little bit too commited to playing players who have the possibility of world talent but never achieve it. Arsene has made so many mistakes in the last 6 years, and mostly because of the players he puts faith in, What a legend….

Let be honest Spurs are a better team than us at the moment.
How did this happen, because Harry has bought Quality players
and Mr Wenger has bought Cheap shit players. I just don’t understand why he does not get rid of the deadwood and use the money to buy Quality players. I for one will be cursing
Mr Wenger if Spurs finish ahead of Arsenal.We sold two top class players in the summer and did not replace them with top class players. Where is that money gone,I tell you in the pockets of the shareholders.
