Wenger – Nasri and Cesc are NOT leaving Arsenal (but neither will play at Newcastle)

Posted on August 12, 2011 by admin

Arsene Wenger previously said that he wants all the problems associated with Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas to be finished “before the season starts” but with the Gunners preparing to face Newcastle that time is approaching rapidly.

Last night in his pre-match conference he was (as always) asked about the negotiations for the star duo and he replied: “I expect nobody to leave the club,”

“At the moment there is no news. What we want today is to focus on the players who can help. “The transfer market is not as easy as people think it is. I’m not disappointed by Cesc’s attitude or Samir Nasri’s attitude.”

Wenger also admitted that neither player was in the team for the Newcastle game, but that there was nothing sinister behind it.

“Nasri has had a sickness. No other issue,” Wenger said. “Cesc is not injured, he’s not match fit. I don’t want to go any deeper than that.”

A rather cheeky reporter then reminded Wenger that he had said earlier that if he allowed Fabregas and Nasri to leave then Arsenal couldn’t be called a “big club” any more, and Wenger snapped: “Manchester United sold Ronaldo. Does that mean they are not a big club?”

“We want to have a fully committed squad on the pitch. What is important is that the players who play give 100%. At the moment we have too big a squad. We are not in a position where we are short of players.”

Is the pressure getting to our illustrious manager? He certainly seems to be contradicting himself a lot lately!

too many mind games for my liking. I think this has to do with fans morale before the upcoming game against newcaste. Admitting that we are planning to lose cesc and nasri before our first game of the season would be quite demoralising to any arsenal fan that doesnt see that its what is best for the club…

sorry 2 say,but things arent going according 2 d plans of wenger(dats y all this contradiction)…i dont know wether he will buy 2 midfielders, but surely he will get one after both nasri fab goes.lets hope whoever he buys is super quality like marvin martin,or mata and dat signing shud atleast cost 20mill.le proff may talk as if he knows wat hes doin and wat needs 2 b done, but dats not d case….u know y wenger is hesitatin 2 spend??? dats bcos he has an obsession 2 save money,u know like obsessive compulsion disorder(ocd).such ppl wil find it hard 2 SPEND BIG.and even if they do spend big a guilt(sad and upset) feelin will take over their mind.lets say wenger is sufferin from lets say “money-saving obsession syndrome” lol :D

Wenger is now in a prime position to threaten to play fab and nasri in the champ lg, so he just needs to let them both go asap so he can get just one more to midfielder, and i would say 2, but definitely one, top CB, i say scott dann and per mert,if we had those two last season, i think that would of saved us from dropping atleast 10 points, therefore would have been contenders for the prem up untill the last day. and answering ^ its best if we had already let them go so we could have longer to find a replacement, we always do this, wait and wait, then until its too late to get someone, i cant remember how many times Arsene has admitted regret about missing out on someone.

we all know wenger is trying to cover things there. he is obviously doesnt want the fans, team mates to worry too much about the departure for both two lads. that is why he’s making up reasons which doesnt make sense at all. he would spit out the truth when he already find the right replacement, then he would say to everybody that both of them are leaving with his blessing. all he’s doing is to keep the faith in everyone on his team his way, and in arsenal. we should pray and hope for the best for our beloved club. Im not interested in calling for heads or mugging my own team off but i would like to make it known as a fan i am deeply upset by the current situation at our club. THIS IS NO WAY TO RUN ANY FOOTBALL CLUB LET ALONE ARSENAL! for the love of good somebody at afc show some bloody backbone and authority and sort this mess out! All we are doing is trashing the great badge and making a laughing stock of AFC!

most statements made by managers are just for the press and arsene is not an exception. he is fully focussed and the result will start to show come saturday 13/8/2011 at Newcastle. at present the team is more than 25 players someone need to move to create space for the much agitated ins

It is official…….Arsenal supporters are the most gullible people on earth. Some of you would believe any rumour you hear.
The truth is Wenger is not looking at Jadson,he has another Brazilian in his sights. This guy may be a little past his prime, but at his best was as good as anyone in the Premier League. A goal scorer, and due to his age would cost next to nothing. I can almost see the headlines……Pele to The Emirates!!!!!
Watch this rumour grow legs;it has as much chance as some of the other crap people believe. Come on guys, don’t believe every single thing you read.

Guys relax…he is trying to boost the morale of the other players before the Newcastle game lest we get a 4-4 thriller. For all he cares, the team that played in pre-season (minus Nasri) is quite decent and so he does not need them to be distracted…but in my opinion…they should both go…it’s unsettling the club

Is everybody missing the glaringly obvious here? Nasri was ill and couldn’t make the trip to portugal for our final pre season game, and is still ill and can’t make our first game of the season at Newcastle right? So how did he manage to start for France and play 65 minutes for them on Wednesday? I hate being lied to…….

  19. AFC by Birth says:

The first player that Wenger should go out and buy is Jan Vertonghen, the fella is so versatile, he would really dig us out of a hole. His fee should come out of our transfer kitty.

Then after finalising the sale of Cesc (£35m) i would buy Benzema (£25m) and Taarabt (£10m), 2 of Nasri’s best pals in football.

Hopefully he would still not change his mind and would leave (£23m). I would then buy Mata or Hazard (£23m). If he stays fine.

Finally after selling Eboue, Squillaci, Bendtner and Almunia(£18m) to complete my spending i would bring in Dann, Mertesacker and Parker (£18m)

I would also seriously consider offers made for Rosicky and Arshavin who are both in their last year and Diaby who is on his last legs. If we could sell these i would buy Hazard or Mata even if Nasri stays or both if he doesnt.

We would then have a raft of Centre backs who can also play other positions, Dann, Koscielny and Djourou can all cover Sagna and Jenkinson at RB. Vermaelen, Koscielny and Miquel can all cover Gibbs and Traore at LB. Whilst Djourou, Koscielny, Vertonghen and Vermaelen can all cover Song, Parker, Coquelin and Frimpong at DM.

The 5 offensive positions would be contested by some real quality Benzema, Van Persie, Vela, Chamakh, Gervinho, Walcott, Taarabt, Ramsey, Chamberlain, Miyaichi, Lansbury, Rosicky, Arshavin, Diaby, Nasri or Mata/Hazard

Afc by birth this is not football manager you have to have teams who want to but those players first and also teams who won’t to sell and most of the players you have named their clubs have stated they are not for sale. As for wenger I think he is waiting for fixed replacements before annoucing that fab and nasri leave to keep moralie high with team and fans.

Arsene, kindly let cesc and nasri go for we need a revived team with high motivation.may be there departure is likely to bring slight changes in the squad but there continuous stay will only inconvenience the entire team.our team only needs some goal scoring tips and seriousness at the back.

It’s just over 24 hours before kick off. It’s time for us fans to get behind this team and put this transfer nonsense behind us. We are the 12th man. If the 11 on the pitch are expect to give 100% then we must give them 100% support in return. If ever the club needed the fans it’s now. We have to have a good start. I’m backing us to win. The only person I’m tired of though is Wenger he is not a straight shooter.

What would Mou and Ferguson do if they were faced with two players behaving this way? Straight out the door and new players in. No mucking around wasting time. No holding players who don’t what to be there. It’s bad for the team and sets a poor and dangerous precedent for other players interested in squeezing my money out of the club. This is an area Wenger needs to harden up. It’s a matter of principal. You cannot have players acting in this way and allow them to get away with it.

The respect I have for Wenger is dwindling by day. Must he always put money before any other thing? He looked into the camera and said to fans Fabrigas and Nasir are not leaving. Why must you lie, even a blind and deaf knows these players are leaving. But you kept them hoping they will change their minds. Arsene you are weak. Feguson is ten times stronger than you when it comes handling players.
At Man u these two players would have been long gone and replacment would have been found.

Arsene let these two go. They are not bigger than the club. This transfer bull shit is taking much of our concentration on the league. These players were here and still no trophies are coming, they can as well go and that will not affect us if we still dont have trophies. They can be replaced with other players that will surely give us trophies.seeing them at Arsenal will surely not make me any happier.
We have a game coming and it is nor going to be an easy one with Jack still out. Lets focus on that and rather that this bull shit.
