Wenger – No chance of Chamakh, Balotelli or Dzeko, In fact I may buy no-one!
The Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger seems to becoming short of patience with the fans that keep clamouring for him to spend millions on expensive players just because Arsenal have lost a few games.
Arsenal have been linked with many good players, but with Wenger’s philosophy of not buying unless the player is young and cheap, he has come out and dashed the fans hopes that these rumours might be true.
He started with: “Let’s not dream too much. To find players who are world-class, have not played in the Champions League and are available, I wish you good luck. I’ll be on the market but that doesn’t mean I’ll buy.”
So what about the rumours about Balotelli?
“We are not interested. Chelsea can buy him.”
Edin Dzeko looks pretty talented, what about him?
“I like the player, but they fly too high now, price-wise.”
Okay then, well Chamakh will come very cheap now he is at the end of his contract?
“His chairman says he’s not available.
“They are top of their group in the Champions League. Why sell him now?”
So it looks like any future rumours will have to be concentrated on unknown players that he can get cheaply, but are good enough to replace Van Persie!!
I think we can safely assume that Wenger will NOT be spending any of the millions in Arsenal’s coffers in January.

This is getting out of hand. If Wenger is not willing to adress our problems then maybe he should go. Arsenal is not his play thingy.
wenger makes a fair point to a degree, but arshavin wasn’t available for the cl and we bought him last year. i would love us to go all the way this year, but a world class player is what we need and i don’t think we should be *too* skimpy with prices. as long as it’s not a total rip-off we should at least consider players seriously. the cl is very important, but i’d rather we bought a better player who can’t play in the cl then a promising player who can.
I think we have to realize that we do not have a rich uncle and that we do not have unimited amount of money. That said, it is no reason why we should not move for a player like Chamka or someone that fits our budget though i think he is right saying we will not afford Dzeko. Arsenal will not be able to splash 40 mill on a player. not even 20mill. More like max 15mill. And that is how it is at the moment until we pay down our debts on new stadium. Maybe it is about time fans realize Arsenal does not have enough funds to go for the “top dogs” like Aguera, Dzeko and their likes. But deffo it would be nice if AW bought someone to strengthen us.. Is there a chance he just plays the press because he is so tired of their moaning and constant nagging? I think so. By saying i will not buy at least he will not have them on his back…
The thing is if he buys he buys if he doesnt he doesnt, its nothing you as a fan can do about that anyway. At the moment priority is o get back on track with winning games. Either way we will not see any signings on this side of christmast. So we may loose all our matches up to christmas and will still not be able to get ANY players for the next 3 weeks atlesat…. Lets support the boys and be that little extra that makes them win! that is the most important just now. that we win matches

Carlton Cole would be at a price of 15 mill i reckon.. he is strong and gutsy..a player who gets the job done..
I wouldn’t be surprised to see robinho coming in. He was in a jolly good mood when Man C were playing Arsenal over the weekend during the break— shaking hands with Arsenal players etc… Also he hasn’t played champions league this season so that makes him a better buy… I am pretty sure he is not going to be happy at Man City with all their strikers… he may not be tall but will definitely be someone wenger might consider— even though he is from Man C.

I think Arsene Wenger has answered all the questions, players of world clss are either too expensive, not available, not eligable for CL or simple wouldn`t fit into Arsenal.Which in short means English football is now a rich mans toy vying for pieces of silver and Arsenal are in danger of becomming `also rans`. The sooner the `sugar daddy` clubs get their own league in Europe the better, they`ve ruined English football.
Noble as it is Wenger`s atitude must change if Arsenal are to continue being a force or even a challenge to the money brokers.Myself ,I support Wenger`s philosophies but that doesn`t mean they`ll hold up in this egoistical money orientated world.
Arsene Wenger is a great manager , the best arsenal has ever had but.. i truly think that he does need a little more english player content in his side.
You dont have to look too far back to see the best arsenal sides during wengers successful years were far more balanced english-international squads..
Tough englishman and skilled to the style that the english game requires.. Mixed in with some flamboyant internationals and u had a great balance.
Arsene wants pretty football but cant afford the talent to match it equally on the pitch.. He must wait to see his youngsters mature a little more and we might just get the trophies in another 2-3 years.. and realistically thats a maybe.
Aside from the 4 french players i think there are, I sometimes wonder how the players communicate out there considering they have moderate to poor english skills and half the internationals are one offs like, dutch, chek, russian, african, spanish, brazilian.
I suppose body and sign language makes up for it on the pitch coz they surely couldnt all communicate in english..lol
And i dont want any racist remarks here ok.. im not racist..i love the internationals but arsenal needs more balance out there ..

Arsenal needs a natural No. 9, a strong central defender then we’ll be back to our winning ways. I support those calling for Chalton Cole, he can add the strength and height missing in that department.
First of all Arsenal do not need a striker as much as they need a defender or a holding midfielder , because it is their defense that usually let hem down more than their scoring abilities. With the eminent return of Bendtner, and the availability of Eduardo, Walcot, and Vela , as well as the possibility of caling up Simpson besides that most of Arsenal goals were not scored by strikers , so who need a forward? . The point is to replace Gallas who is too slow and ineffective, and to sideline Song and till he become equipped to cope with Arsenal elegant game of football, and bring in a holding midfielder and a central defender reliable enough to team up with Vermaelen , and Taylor of Newcastle would be a very good choice that satisfy Wenger’s conditions, or may be put Vrmaelen as a holding midfielder and bring in another two reliable central defenders. To those who want to defend song just look at him twice standing in the way of City’s strikers way in our penalty area , for which Arsenal should thak the referee for not punishing them, or just watch him in any game and see how slow song in taking a decision or w many silly fouls he gave away , let alone his positioning in case of an opponent attack

That Arsenal can’t communicate properly because of a language barrier is one of the silliest things I’ve heard. The manager and coaching staff operate exclusively in English, and the vast majority of our foreign players are close to fluent in the language. Even the quieter players like Denilson & Eduardo speak to a decent enough level.
And that’s not even taking into account the fact that communication on the field can be comprehensive with under 200 expressions.
As for the suggestion that Arsenal’s recent barren run is due to an absence of English talent; I would suggest that the problem is with English football rather than Wenger. Of the Englishmen that’ve been available in the last 5 years, Ashley Young is the only player that I think Wenger’s missed out on – and he hardly fits into the tough Englishmen archetype you’re so fond of.

Yes we need and must buy a player to replace injuried Van, but I think Chalrton Cole would be wise to buy that Chamkah, or Baloiteli because he stand a chance to play in European while the other two do not and hopefully not too expensive, thirdly he has enough experience in the premier league.

It’s the lost of these few games that will cost Arsenal the title…if Arsenal can’t even handle mid-table or lowly teams, what chance do have against the big guns? I echo arshavin’s call that we need 1 big, imposing and physical player in each department. (defence, midfield and attack). If he doesn’t rectify these problems, our hopes of challenging for the title will be very slim.
