Wenger – Rosicky’s going nowhere!
The Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has dismissed rumours linking the Czech Republic midfielder Tomas Rosicky with a move away from the Emirates.
“Rosicky is at Arsenal and he remains at Arsenal,” he told the club’s official website.
The 31-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg this summer and recent reports suggest that the Germans are gonna try their luck again this January. He is also being linked with a move to Greek side Olympiakos, Arsenal’s opponents tonight.
Rosicky has failed to hold on to a regular place in the starting eleven this season and reports suggest he might be looking for a club where he is more valued. There are also many fans who seem to think that the Czech Republic captain is surplus to requirements at the Emirates and that he should be off-loaded this January.
But if you’d ask me, he needs to stay. He might not be as good as he once was but he’s still a threat to any defence. He’s hard-working, energetic and still very commited to the Arsenal cause. Though he struggles to hold on to a regular first-team spot, you don’t see him complaining about it to the media and threatening to leave like certain other players do.
I believe the ‘Little Mozart’ still has a lot to offer for the Gunners and can be a great example for some of the younger players. As far as I’m concerned, he should finish his career with Arsenal.

I love watching rosicky play, he glides around the pitch and if this guy hadn’t of had so many injuries he would have been a cult hero believe me. Players that are happy to be involved in any way without bitching are worth their weight in gold, plus he cares about the club, you can tell.

wenger should keep him. His experience wil be of great use to the youngsters. Rvp, rosicky and arteta are the only regular senior players on the squad and it is best to hold onto them. The youngsters need someone to look upto for guidance when they are going through difficult games. Love arsenal

that just wrap it,arshavin and chamakh were so poor in attack.realy frustated with arshavin,soo lazy.chamakh really jst lose it.this players shud nt b in the our squad in the nxt half of our season.chamakh is a quality player,sory bt he jst ddnt rly suits to our play.

Black heart, you can’t just off load people because they cant get a first eleven place… People keep crying out for depth in the team and then they go and order for atleast half a dozen players to be kicked out? How does that work? If we’re gonna get rid of those who are struggling to find a first team place, then maybe we should offload Chamberlain? Or maybe Miyaichi? Why stop there? Why not Mannone, Frimpong, Benayoun, Coquelin and Miquel while we’re at it? If he is willing to stay despite getting less games, and if he is willing to tutor the younger guys, then he can stay. It’ll do no harm will it…
And Gooner Sam, who cares how much time he’s spent injured in the past, if he’s fit now then there’s no problem.

After tonights showing against Olympiakos I am afraid that Chamakh and Arshavin have proved that neither of them will be at the Arsenal, for much longer. Chamakh has tried his best but he isn’t a Arsenal type of player. Tonight he worked hard and dived so much, I thought me was practising for the Olympic Aquatic team. You can’t fault him for trying, which is more than can be said for Arshavin. I rate Arshavin as a top player but he hasn’t done it for Arsenal for the past two seasons and showed tonight how lazy he is. Arshavin lost the ball on a number of occasions and then stood and watched as the Olympiakos players ran off with, making no effort to win it back. Thank goodness for our young players, who worked hard and did their best. Let’s forget tonight, some of our more senior players didn’t want the fight and they should have a “long hard look at themselves”

Most of the guys were below average against Olympiakos. Despite playing out of position, Djourou was hopeless and made poor decisions. Same goes for Squillaci.
Only positive were Chamberlin and Miquel. Miquel had an immediate impact and deserves a starting line up since Santos is now out injured – Vermaelen should play CB for stability.

As far as i’m concerned no room for Rosicky. Listen guys he is the oldest in the whole team and he shows no creativity. Remember he was brought to be the playmaker…give me a break!
The big task for Wenger is to clearout in january -Rosicky, Arshavin, Chamak, Almunia, Fabiansk, Djouru, Diaby, Bendtner, Denilson – ALL GONE!.

Sokeye, how could you just clearout players just like that? You need a potential buyer at the first stage. Would you like me selling a rotten squill to you say 3M? You will not buy it. Second, even there are buyer but you still need your player to happy to move (which will not happen in the game) Unless heavy compensation would made for the way, Look at Bent 52 some club wanted to sign him. But he looking for champion league clubs and refuse any potential link to smaller clubs. Plus his demanding wage are high, unless Arsenal partial of his wage and find him a champion league club, he is more than happy to sit there and complain on everything. If you off load him the compensation is high say double or the rest of the unpaid wages till the end of his contract. that would make up to 10-20millions which could well spent in buying new players.

Even arsenal still paying their wages, well sometime they could be used to ease some of the burden from starting 11 when there are more games. Rather than compensated them with the similar or more prices and risk to lost them for nothing. That’s stupid.
Unless you could find potential buyer could just afford to pay their wages then I let them go for free. If not how to offload them ? Kill them?

Wenger is a big fan of Rosicky. Unfortunately for the Czech,
long spells of injuries hindered his ability to play regular first team football. This season he looks better than ever, constantly a linking threat with the Arsenal midfield and forwards. Over the last 3 years, he had looked like he knew what he wanted to do but his body couldn’t react merely as fast or accurately due to prior injuries. This year he looks a sharp and there seems to be an extra spring in his strides.
Funny how Many Gunners fans wanted him gone over the last 2 transfer seasons and now that he is wanted in Germany, Gunner fans are not willing to let him go. I’ll like to see Rosicky stay as he is known for his mentoring abilities within the team, providing young and new players the knowledge they need to improve efficiency on the the pitch from playing smart football. You used to see Fabregas and Nasri really enjoy playing with Rosicky and the 3 were a deadly combination when they played their one touch passing game.
I, as many of you, want Rosicky to stay, but age and the need to secure a retirement package is only understandable. Arsenal need to pay Rosicky for his loyalty and oblige equally. Somehow, because he is in Wenger’s pet books, I think we will keep him but it’s up to the Board to pay him what he’s worth. If Rosicky left, I don’t blame him, but I’m sure many of you would prefer him to retire in the red and white.

Rosicky should stay on at Arsenal. I dont see the need to offload, he came on yesterday and had an impact. Yes he does not command a starting place but not all players in the Arsenal squad will command a starting place. Rosicky is one player who has always been commited to the Arsenal and is a good mentor for the younger players.

One thing that i cant seem to understand is arsenal fans who want the club to offload 4,5 or even 8 players in the January transfer window. Such a move by the coach will only distabilise the team and we really cannot afford that. Like any other fan, there are some changes that i would like to see in the composition of our squad but it should be done in an orderly manner to ensure a proper transition within the remaning players and the new players.
It is highly next monday we will be in postion 4 on the log (if Man $ity beat chelsea and we beat Everton) and this is something that was unthinkable when we lost to Man Utd. At that time all the haters we talking about Arsenal as relegation material and how we wont be in the top 4 this season. This team has not only silenced the critics but they are proving that we have a very strong squad. This is why I am and will always be an Arsenal fan.

Those who want him out are really missing the point. To have someone of his ability happy to be a backup player and to mentor the youngsters is priceless in a team which is in no danger of struggling with the size of their squad (many of the players are under 21 and don’t count). He has been excellent when he has played this season so, even though I was a critic of his last season, I definitely want him to stay until he retires. His goal and assist tally may be low but he makes things happen around him when he plays and if he had a decent number of games i’m sure he’d improve on that.

I agree with most people here. Players like Djoure, Squid, Flappyhandski, Denilson, Bendtner, Hoyte, Eastmond, Arshavin do not deserve to be at Arsenal. Two players I’m willing to keep to add depth are Diaby and Rosicky. Rosicky has played well of late, for his age and eagerness it would be a waste to get rid of him. As people have said, he provides experience and maturity, someone for our young guns to look up to. I would like it if he retired with us as he has always given his best.
If I were Wenger, my priority would be to sell Arshavin and if the dumb fish are biting, Djoure and Squid. I’m sure we could also get a few million for Big d*ck and Denilson too. With those accumulated profits, we could easily buy a new defender and a world class striker. Otherwise we could just bring Bartley back from loan to add our defense, save a little but still buy a striker.

I must confess that previously Rosicky would’ve been high on my list of players that needed to go, but now we have Arteta his form is improving which makes me question how suited he was to playing alongside fabregas?? He is proving that a lot of the stick was not deserved and I believe he has a part to play in short-med term future
