Wenger – Ryo Miyaichi can have a big impact this season
The Japanese genius Ryo Miyaichi may only have a handful of senior competitive games under his belt in Europe, but Arsene Wenger believes that he can have a “big impact” on Arsenal’s push for the Premiership title this season.
The Gunners have secured a UK work permit for the 18 year-old, but Wenger reveals that Miyaichi still had to go back to Japan to sort out his exit visa before being available to light up the Arsenal attack, and he can play in just about any position according to Wenger.
“We got the work permit for Miyaichi because he is an exceptional talent,” The Frenchman said.
“Overall we are very happy because he is one of the players who can have a big impact this season.
“He will play as a striker, right or left, he is a winger type and he is very keen.
“He cannot play this weekend, he is in Japan at the moment to get a permanent visa to come back and be registered with the Premier League.
“He will not be available tomorrow or for the Champions League on Tuesday but he should be available after.”
With very few inuries to worry about, Arsenal should have more than enough firepower to win the first couple of games without him, but wouldn’t it be great to see Miyaichi unleashed against Liverpool and Man United?

Good talent in Ryo definately a great star in the making but we all have to see expirience in the team please.He has to grow and if so xpirience will help him rise to the greatest heights.

This guy is NOT being hyped. Arsenal have owned him for quite a while now. Wenger still has very tight ties in Japan and since leaving Grampus 8 to come to Arsenal, he has had his ear to the floor in that country. The second Miyaichi hit the scene he was kep under wraps. He was developed decisively and was ALWAYS destined for Arsenal. He was reserved if you will and very strictly. He is everything we’ve waited Walcott to become for years. He is already an outstanding player, he is guaranteed to score goals, Defenders have no clue what is coming and he is easily Wengers biggest success story waiting to happen since the signing of Thierry Henry. If this guy plays on the Wing like he can, you will think Christiano Ronaldo, if he plays as striker you will think Ian Wright (he’s that instinctive and very selfish goalscorer – Don’t expect Miyaichi to be messing around playing pass the ball in the area – no way). I’m utterly astounded that more people are not having an orgasm over this player getting a work permit. You’ll see what I’m talking about and as for November being our bogey month … try convincing Miyaichi that.

I think Wenger is right…I can see the young ladds future really shining lets leave the coach and allow him make is choices Arsenal don’t just need a good player but a player who can play the way we play the game…Teaching old folks how to tap the ball around…But please Arsen try and get a defender like samba then we are good to go….Thanks so much looking forward to the kick off with the Baggies…

Miyaichi is definitely a really good player…and should take over for arshavin on the left so that arshavin can play in his natural role right behind the striker, center attacking midfield.

Wow. a lot of optimism about this guy, who to me doesnt seem that ready for the pl, hope he is but I doubt if from what i have seen which is a lot when I was out in holland. He’s got great balance and quite consistent crossing ability, sometimes over does his tricks but will learn as he gets older, he’s someone I expect to thrive when arsenal are flying and not so much change games when we’re not initially. I have high hopes for him in the next 2/3 years ato be a great force!
I expect a lot more from campbell initially who I have also seen a lot of, as he as got a great left foot and seems to be Henry-esque in his style of play, glides on the ball and can bang in all types of goals.

agree with gunner. Arsenal lacked ideas going forward and quality on the final pass all night. Kosh and Vermaelen played solidly which I have to admit was a welcome surprise. If they can play like that all season and not get injured I wouldn’t mind if we didnt get a new CB. But going off tonight’s performance.. we definitely need a mature and quality playmaker. Watching Arsenal attacking tonight was about as exciting as Barton’s haircut

Am very happy today i think by now wenger should know that e need replacement for both cecs and nasri the 2 are very important to us. Get good playmaker and attarking midfielder. it lacking in todays game.

Is it me or does gervinho look awful when ever I saw him on the ball he look like he was going to fall over himself.and as for the Newcastle game if we play like that against man united and they play like they did in the second half of the community shield it will be a route. We as a club as pride ourselves on playing attractive football but what I saw out there against Newcastle was players that had given up and without a proper skipper, the game was so lacklustre, the players had no movement at the moment we are probably playing the worst football. And did anyone see are bench a bunch of nobodies at this rate we are going backwards as a club, last season we were going good but then we collapsed now we are going to lose our two best players and we are expecting to better.

I agree that the issue of Gervinho’s red card was purely racism. Both players should have been sent off. The f.a/fifa should look into that and also into the match and give approriate sanction. And this is the same Joey Barton that arsenal f.c wanted to sign. For the result, this spells doom for arsenal, cos i dont want believe that without Fabregas and Nasri, arsenal cant win a match?. For Wenger, you dont expect to do something same way every year and expect different result. Peope liken Barca and Arsenal to play beautiful football. But Barca has players that have killer instint in front of goal. Apart from the free flow passes, they also can shot from any distance and angle. But arsenal dont. Wenger has incurcated the free flow passes pattern to the team and nobody shots even when they have the chance to. Charmark,Gervinho score wonderful goals for their old club by shoting. But in arsenal, they just pass & pass & pass & pass until the lose the ball. You will never see a club like Man.u, Chelsea,Man.c, even Barca pass a ball when they have opportunity to shot at goal. Wenger should change his idea of football and teach these players to shot at chances they have. He should also go back to the 4-4-2 formation, rather than the 4-5-1. It does’nt pay. The people calling the decision racist are utterly clueless! If you raise your hands you have to go. There was nothing to do with colour about the decision. The English FA, players, and fans have worked hard for years to rid that perception. Joey Barton has seen his fair share of red cards. He’s a wind up merchant and always will be. Gervinho will learn (or should have been warned) about players like Barton, there are a few more to face yet.

To all the idiots that are saying the ref is racist for sending of gervinho shut up. He raised his hand and slaped a player in the face (straight red). Whats the problem ok joey barton is a mug and did grab him while he was on the floor so that was a pen. But gervinho is stupid for over reacting to the tackle if he just went down normally then we might of got the pen cos there was contact. Thats the trouble with players who have learnt there trade in spain, france they all like a dive. It doesnt matter the colour of your skin. I dont think that any ref in the league is racist, look at the blackburn game salgardo fouled a man in the box ref give pen salgardo is white.
