Wenger Tells Fans To Get Behind The Team
Arsenal Tottenham games are always spicy affairs, but today it has a little extra spice attached because of a certain striker called Emmanuel Adebayor. Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has already expressed his concerns about player abuse now it is the time of Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
Redknapp and Wenger both expect Adebayor to cop his fair share of stick today, but speaking yesterday Wenger said, “That is what you don’t want. You want people to support the team in a positive way, not all the hate. A football game is a fantastic day that everyone has to enjoy and with a positive atmosphere it is even more fantastic.”

I think you are flogging a dead horse there Arsene I’m afraid. As much as I agree with what you say there will always be a minority that cannot help themselves.
Wenger than had a message for Gunners fans attending the match today. He said, “So to our fans, let’s get behind our team and forget about the rest. Adebayor is a great player. I really don’t know what went wrong. Of course I rate him. He can be a threat on Sunday.”
In past experiences when supporters of any club boo or abuse their past players it only makes them more determined to succeed. Arsene is right. Get behind the boys today if you are going to the game and hurt the Spurs fans the best way possible, by cheering our team to three points.

wenger brought adebayor to arsenal, worked so hard to turn him into a great player then arsenal fans started complaining about him. poor first touch. misses too many chances, lazy, poor left foot. if that is the same player we’re goin to face, should there be any problem?
most fans always act as if they know better than wenger. today now their target is chamakh, kolcielny, ramsy, gibbs, walcott, bendtner, etc…
lets make the job easier for the manager by supportin the team no matter who plays for us.
Top Gooner!. Agree or not?:

It has always been a part of the game. ALWAYS. I asked my Grandfather who was at Highbury during the Herbert Chapman days. I asked my Uncles and my mother who sat on my Grandfather’s shoulder at Highbury when it was stands in the late 1940s. I’ve always seen with my own eyes that it was a part of the game.
It is also true that barracking of any player, not just ex-players, will make that player more determined to “shut up” the crowd. I think most fans who go to games know this. Like you say Admin, there will always be those who don’t realise, or who just can’t help it.
Much of the barracking is to rile the opposition fans, but in Adebayor’s case I doubt there will be many Spuds backing him up. Saying that though, Gallas has been surprisingly accepted.

Arsene Wenger is quite right. The whole team must receive 100% support from all Gooners throughout the game. Forget Adebayour or indeed any ex Arsenal player involved with the match. They are yesterday’s men.
Those diehards who intend to abuse Adebayour have short memories. After one good seasson, he turned out to be a lazy failure and we were pleased he agreed to leave at a massive profit. He did us a great favour so let’s be grateful.

Adbayor has been source of frustration for me while he was playing for us ,particularly I hate when he wait for the ball behind most denders that didnot escape from their header ! After he left he was embarassment for himself to act infront of Arsenal fans ,galloping like a horse .
