Wenger tells Nasri and Clichy – Sign quickly or you’re gone
Arsene Wenger made a massive mistake a few years ago when he allowed Mathieu Flamini to run down his contract by delaying any talks of an extension until it was too late, thus allowing the midfielder to gain a massive payday by joining AC Milan on a Bosman transfer.
Arsenal currently have two players approaching the final year of their current deal, Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy, and Wenger has told the players that if they don’t renew their contracts very quickly after the end of the season then they will be sold.
Wenger told the official Arsenal website: “We will sort that situation out quickly after the end of the season,”
“We need to know very quickly.
“We do not want to do that [allow them to leave on a free like Flamini]. We won’t allow that to happen.
After Denilson’s admission yesterday that he wanted to leave the Emirates it will be interesting to see how many other players admit their unhappiness of their situation at Arsenal. Nicklas Bendtner is nearly certain to leave but how many others will follow?

They should have signed an extension with 2 years left in their contract.
If they don’t want sign….then they should be sold.
I will be sad to see Nasri leave, however Clichy has been at the club along time and maybe is a bit stale. Arsene needs to be ruthless !

Yeah,this is the stance we need to see at the club,no one is bigger than the club…if clichy does not sign sell him and go for Baines..Nasri is a good player but the club can still find his replacement in his fellow countryman Gurcoff so if he does not sign in the summer,out he goes

Do away wid deadwood and liabilities-Almunia,Eboue,Clichy,Traore,squilaci,den15,diaby,rosicky,arshavin,bendtner.Nasri should sign and bring in~cahill,baines,a.young/hazard,falcao/benzema.a complete receipe of sucess

I bet they will re-sign. However, Denilson, Almunia, Bendtner and Rosicky have no future at Arsenal. I think AW will keep Squilacci (hope not…), Eboue (hes a decent squad player), and Diaby.

i wouldn’t mind if Clichy leaves but we should try are best to keep Nasri’ hes world class n getting better..A few websites are saying we have brought Ricardo Alvarez from Argentina’ theres clips of him on youtube’ he looks like an argentinan Kaka so hope its true..

A strong team comes from a strong manager. I agree with aj, if wenger shows some balls, the whole club gets a lift.Its a tricky situation,Managers are dealing with multi-million pound investments in their players, and even fergie went a bit soft on ronaldo and rooney; but where a manager can show some spine, its welcome.
I would love a manager to be able to say…”you want to go?,there’s the door, close it on the way out”.
But wenger really needs to look after RVP, jack, TV5 and chezzer as these players have the arsenal spirit..and the talent!

bugo dan and cassim dont be pathetic. No one is bigger than Arsenal not even Wenger so if he goes we get Dortmunds coach/ FC Porto coach or even Bayern coach… Dont be the fools who think Arsenal is Wenger. A.j, Gourcuff is poor. We dont need him coz he cant replace Nasri. We can get Hazard who will do it perfectly though. Baines is overated, get Enrique from newcastle.. He would be much cheaper than Baines plus he’s faster, younger and way better than both baines and clichy..
Also buy a new keeper like lloris/akinfeev/neuer/stekelenberg and 2 new CB’s. Most importantly just get 1/2 rili big names to put us on the map again and just to convince Cesc to stay. Strikers, we dont need a clinical 1, we just need an effective 1. bent is not clinical but he’s prety effective if you ask me. RVP is clinical, Chamakh is to clinical to shoot a ball, torres is both clinical and effective so is rvp… we should get an effective striker, maybe falcao would do, even benzema. sell of almunia, bendtner, squllaci, fabianski, diaby, rosicky, bartley, mark randall, clichy.
we should also switch back to 4-4-2. actualy it should be like 4-1-1-2-1-1.

Sell Gibbs, he’s terrible and keep cichy and get a solid figure at the back like Taiwo.
Taiwo would be excellent, confident, lighting fast, great freekick taker, great crosser and don’t even get me started on how powerful his shots are.
Taiwo would be a great addition to the squad defintely better than baines.

Sell Clichy buy Vertonghen switch TV5 to left back. In Vermaelen and Vertonghen you have 2 players that can both play CH, LB and DM. Dont forget we have Gibbs, Traore, Botelho and Cruise that can all do a job at left back too. Baines is not consistent enough, sure he is having a good season, but i do not think he is any better than Gibbs. If Nasri leaves get Schneider in p/ex. If Cesc leaves get Affelay in p/ex we would then have money over and will have replaced the 3 out going players. For the rest of the squad add that extra money to the transfer kitty and the funds from selling the deadwood and replace like for like
Almunia, Fabianski (replaced by Stekelenberg and Mannone)
Eboue (Van der Weil or Jagielka)
Squillaci (Samba)
Denilson, Diaby (Parker and Amalitifano)
Rosicky, Arshavin (Lansbury and Hazard or Young)
Bendtner and Chamakh (Gameiro and Benzema)
All signings are Dutch, Belgian, English and French, nothing against anyone else, but with the ACN we need to avoid more African signings, the Spanish and South Americans are always hankering for Madrid and Barcelona.
Also dont forget there are some interesting free transfers available, Mexes, Frings and Pirlo.
I would bring in Henry, Vieira and Lehmann as player coaches to eventually replace Rice, Boro and Peyton. Next season Wenger goes or moves upstairs to be replaced by Bergkamp, Henry full-time no.2, Vieira and Lehmann full-time coaches.
If all that happened i would buy a paving slab with my name on it, both new kits and join the away scheme.

Arsenal needs to sell off players that are dragging the team down whenever they plays. Without saying much, I know most gunners have in mind some players that I am going to list out. These players may have their good moments with the club, but most importantly, they have also cost us some vital points. In fact, they cost us points more than they have got us the points.
Players like Almunia, Eboue, Scquillaci, Denilson, Diaby and Bendtner. These 6 players are must go for me. Almunia is no longer the player he used to be. Everytime, he plays he fails me badly. Yeah he may have a good game (against barca last season in the CL), but more often, he caused us to lose vital points in the EPL. Eboue, remember the Wigan game?? Enough said.
Denilson, since he wants to go, let him leave. Diaby, remember the Newcastle game, when we were leading 4-0 and he got himeself sent off? And often he dribbles too much and not pass the ball to others? Scquillaci, everytime he plays we concede. Bendtner, the self confident cocky striker that talks more than he scores.
Thats it for them. We have enough players to cover their departure.
Most importantly now is for Arsene to sign both Clichy and Nasri to long term contracts.
Get a good defender (Samba looks good to me), another DM (if possible, otherwise Frimpong and Coquelin would be fine), and one more striker (Falcao??).
We would be fine if we get rid of those players and bring in 3 new players.

Now this might not go down well with some of you but I think its time for wenger to go (if not this summer then next) and before anyone passes judgement let me say that I am one of wenger biggest fans so these words don’t come easy.. The plain and simple truth is if two years ago arsene had got rid of some mediocre players who are championship players at best (who are still at the club by the way) and brought in three or four class players then we would have walked the title this season and last.. This did not happen because of wengers relentless stupborn attitude to not spend in the transfer market which unless you have the squad of barca then thats just plain suicide.. PS if nasri and clichy haven’t signed by now then its obvious they’re looking for a big bosman pay day, time for us to cut and run with these two as well..

not too fussed about GC, we have Gibbs who is far better imo. I think its time to push him into the first team, and hope that he can shake off those ankle injuries thats set him back so many times this season.
Nasri on the other hand is a must keep, he’s influential in our team (even when played on the wing) and if he leaves and Fabby, then we’re in trouble.

Gibbs won’t manage more than 18 games a season, he’s waaaay too injury prone. Forget Gibbs. FFS don’t sell Clichy and then rely on Gibbs, lol. It’s better to keep Clichy rather than look for a replacement who MIGHT do a better job. Nasri we need to keep and there’s no way he’ll be going anywhere. Wenger rates him a lot, which is good, because so do I.
