Wenger – The defence must cut out the mistakes against Man Utd
Arsene Wenger is very clear that Arsenal must stop the defensive errors that have lost the Gunners their last two games against Fulham and Swansea if they are to stand a chance of beating Man Utd this weekend.
Wenger explained that he believed that the defence had improved and was surprised at the relapses. He said: “You will never find a happy manager after a defeat like that. What was worrying was that while we were 1-0 up we had chances to score the second goal and then we gave goals away,”
“We thought we had stabilised the defensive sector but we have been vulnerable in recent games. When you come back to 2-2 and then 30 seconds later it is 3-2, it is very difficult to swallow.
“The team has been very disappointed but I cannot fault the effort. If we score two goals away from home we must be capable of coming away with a point at least. That is where we want to improve and come back to our defensive stability.”.
“I put Fulham down to the fact that on the corner we made a mistake. We made mistakes again at Swansea and it is important that we focus again on defending well together. That is vital going into a game against Manchester United,”
The Arsenal defence in the 8-2 defeat earlier this season was; Koscielny, Djourou, Jenkinson and Traore. It will be a much different line-up tomorrow, but can they keep the Man United attack at bay?

Off topic: Sorry to say this but for all this happening in our beloved club, it’s very much fan’s fault. If you are so happy going to Emirates to watch losses against Swansea and QPR, then let it be that way. But with your support of this sh!t team you are supporting our idiotic selfish Board! We will be trashed again by Man Utd, but Emirates will be peck again. Don’t you realise that we should stop income for our Board with not going to matches and buying in Arsenal stores? Look what Blackburn does with Kean, can’t we do it with Kroenke, Hill-Wood and Gazidis? I am a lifelong Gooner, but I am really, really pissed off. Bringing back Dein and Usmanov is in your hands. Don’t ruin it!

Yes Mr. Wenger you are right on the mistake of defense on the last two matches but to me not only the defense but also other players should be more focused especially midfielders how they pass the ball (accuracy)and penetration passes. Arsenal should attack very careful otherwise Man U will punish them by counter attacking

Man-u might kill us with the counter attacks if we dnt watch out. I have this feeling if we do win it will be great at getting back at man u fans bt a loss will be good just to let arsene know we do need quality.(maybe the same team disciplining him again will bring him back to reality).

Arteta is not returning until Aston Villa… We played Benayoun last game instead of Rosicky, so there was no real dictator in the midfield, so we kept losing possession in the midfield… Hope to see Rosicky starting this game…

AFC big problem: We’ve got 11 good players. That’s it. No depth whatsoever. Arteta goes out, there’s no one to replace him! We only have ONE LB (Santos) who’s out until april at earliest. I don’t want to consider Gibbs because he’s ALWAYS injured! Hence the necessity to get another LB. Now I have news for you: while we’re unable to get a LB although this is an imperative, QPR is getting Taye Taiwo on 6 month-LOAN from Milan AC. Seems like we always caught napping at AFC. Until we get our butt kicked again by United!

When we lost 8-2 earlier in the season it made wenger go out and sign some players. Don’t get get me wrong, I always want arsenal to win… But a tiny part of me sayin if we getted wooped on Sunday wenger might go and sign some more players. ( I’m just being hopeful I know )

We will lose because we have a shi*t squad, thanks to the greedy board and ’3 bags full sir’ Wenger. Our midfield will most likely be out classed once again…Ferguson knows exactly what our weaknesses are, hell in fact every team in the BPL knows how to beat Arsenal. We have become a bad joke.

Hey guys, Arsene Wenger called me up today. He wants me to come and replace RvP when he leaves end of the season. Also he told me that he is also going to make a bid for Lionel Messi for 10 quid and if he is in the mood maybe make a bid for Christiano Ronaldo for 5 quid. He also said as a joke that if his wife gives him head tonight he will make a bid for David Silva the next day.
