Wenger – The fans weren’t booing Arshavin and I love him!
Arsene Wenger has tried to minimize the damage to Andrei Arshavin’s confidence by last weeks booing by Arsenal fans when he was brought on against Man Utd, and he may have gone just a little overboard when he said: “I love Arshavin as a man and as a player.
“I don’t think the fans were too much against him, it was more they wanted Chamberlain to stay on the pitch.
“I didn’t take it as booing of Arshavin, I just thought they wanted to keep Chamberlain on the pitch, which we can understand.”
He may not think they were booing Arshavin, but they were certainly telling Wenger himself that they thought “You don’t know what you’re doing”, but Wenger is not at all worried by the crowds reaction. “I’m not bothered by that, frankly. I’m paid to make decisions and you always need someone to make decisions.
“When you have 60,000 people in the stadium there are always 100 or 200 who have different opinions. I have managed many more games than all the people in the stadium.”
I think “100 or 200″ is a slight underestimate, but I am more worried about Arshavin’s reaction than Wenger’s. The Russian was already lacking in confidence so I am wondering what he may feel today, and if Wenger will play him from the start?

To be honest though Arshavin has not been happy here for a long time..he does not like the UK etc and it would probably be best if he left in the summer.. I would give him a chance playing behind RVP instead of Rambo before he goes though..you never know he might respond positively to it…

Simple theory, even you playing football manager, Ox and AA23 who will you choose to made impact to the game. 1 have played 70mins and might be tired. 1 is still fresh and ready, beside the sub bench are limited choice. I was the one who wrote that in real effect we are not missing Fabregas & Nasri that much in this season because of the workload that Arteta & Gervinho have taken …. yes, both are in no way as talented as Fab or Nasri but they more than compensated with their grit & determination. Arteata is far less class but his presence has been amazing & Fabregas in his last 2 seasons have been inconsistent & often out with injury… so was Nari….

Wenger also does not need to be insulted as much as you try to insult him.we all disagree with his hardstance on some occasions. But you should admit it’s his job and he knows coaching more than you do.using such language here can only spread the ill feeling towards the manager and does not help the team in anyway. I do not believe Wenger is irreplaceable but difficult to replace. We also cannot take his achievements away from him. So please openly disagree with his style if you must, but stop vomitting venom.

Those fans booing vs Man U were a disgrace to Arsenal.
