Wenger – The rumours end here, Fabregas loves Arsenal
Arsene Wenger has maintained his dignity all through the summer while Arsenal have been under seige from the Barcelona players and management as they tried to prise Cesc Fabregas away from the Emirates, but now the Frenchman says it is time for the rumours to stop now the new season approaches.
After todays game at Barnet, Wenger was asked yet again about the Fabregas rumours, which have not been helped by Fabregas refusing to commit himself to the team.
“Now the story has to stop,” said Wenger. “Cesc is our captain, he is so important to us. We want to keep him.”
“We can only influence our own behaviour,” he continued. “We always had a consistent attitude and were always reluctant to talk about Cesc’s departure.
“It is very important we give the impression that just because somebody wants a player from us, we do not just give in.
“We have shown our love and care for Cesc since the start. I believe Cesc loves the club, has shown his attachment to the club many times and I am very confident the story will end there.”
Get in there my son, and congratulations for sticking to your guns. Barcelona have seriously lost face and have been made to look extremely arrogant.
I would love Arsenal to play them again in next seasons Champions League and teach them a real lesson. There is no game that any Arsenal player or fan would want to win more….

sorry where excatly are u getting those quotes from where whenger says fabregas loves the club? Ive seen the sky sports video and there are no quotes like that, and Fabregas dosnt give a shit about the club, his behaviuor throught this has been very very strange, he blatantly angling for a move, his antics with pique and puyol are beyond a disgrace. His silence, and his actual nuances in his voice, and actions, tell he wants to go to barcelona, he has no respect for Arsenal at all.

I agree that Fabregas has made it obvious that he wants to leave, but then he shouldn’t have signed a mega-money new five year contract then should he?
The quotes from Wenger came from the BBC (you must have heard of them!)and i trust that they are true…

There are so many times that Wenger’s stubborness is a cause for distress for all gunners supporters, but then when you see it be put to good use in this scenario with fabregas and Barcelona, you really just have to respect it and love it. In Wenger we trust!!

i dont think fabregas wants to leave yet,if he really wanted to leave..he wouldnt of signed that long contract,its more barca players and his dad saying all this bullshit,if he really wants out,let me see him say “my time at arsenal has come to an end,i want to move on” until he says something along those lines. i dont think he’s leaving especially since he finally realized he’s going to sit on the bench,i think all arsenal fans undersatnd he’s going to leave to barca eventually..but hes young so if he leaves once his contract is up,thats fine.we all anticipate this anyway,i think hes here for awhile

The way I see it, Cesc cannot come out to commit to Arsenal coz that may pissed some people at Barca – a club that he will go to eventually. That’s why he said, my future now is in Arsene’s hands. And Arsene has dealt with it. And Cesc will still be with us when the new season starts. End of story.
