Wenger to sacrifice Eboue to get Taarabt?
The QPR midfielder Adel Taarabt was the undisputed star at Loftus Road last season and was voted Championship Player Of The Year, and Neil Warnock is well aware that he will have trouble keeping Taarabt out of the clutches of a top club, and according to the Star, Arsenal are one of those interested.
But Warnock will only sell his ex-Tottenham reject if he can also strengthen his side for the struggle to stay in the Premiership next season, and the Star reports that he wants Emmanuel Eboue to join the club.
They reckon that Wenger will not be keen to sell his versatile squad player, but he may be willing to sacrifice Eboue if he can get the much more talented Taarabt in return, and therefore get the price reduced (by around £5m?) as well.
One bit of good news is that Taarabt has just withdrawn from the Moroccan team, so he will not be going to the African Nations Cup in January which would certainly cheer Wenger up.
So who thinks that getting Taarabt would be a good move for Wenger, even if he has to give Eboue away as part of the deal?

although Eboue has been gr8 servant he seems to have lost his edge and has made mistakes so i think it makes gr8 sense if this deal is true as Taraabt is young, extremely talented and versatile. Be sorry to see him leave but for me this is a no brainer, just hope it true and NOT just another ridiculous rumour to get Arsenal fans excited

I like eboue, but taraabt would be an amazing signing imo. There’s no player in the PL who can beat people with such ease. Nani is the best currently, and nasri’s close control is awesome, but taraabt has the power to make the most of his skills. He can score and assist goals with FKs, as well as from open play.
For the PL, he may even be a more effective player than hazard and some of the others we’ve been linked with. Don’t see it happening, though, to be honest. I think if we don’t bid for him now, he will have a great season for QPR and end up getting signed by Utd, City or Chelsea for a big fee.

Yes please he is a top player, has played international football. If he can be Player of the year for QPR being their top scorer with 18 goals at 21 imagine what he will do with the likes of Nasri and RVP around him. He is a real wonderkid the next one to watch…get him now

He is a sick sick player, he plays the arsenal way so wouldnt need addapting. He can play in both wings o as a attacking mid and i agree with u Davi would be one of the most skillful playrers in the PL as far as dribbling ability and one on one situation. Get him but keep Ebue he is a squard player we need to think of the likes of bedner, denilson, squilachi, almunia before him

Taarabt if Im not mistaken has already said he would be more than pleased with a move to arsenal, he would negate the loss of merchant Nasri. I dont think we should sell Eboue he loves the club and those are the sort of players we need. No more merchants plz. We should also let Fab go and bring in someone who can ease the burden it will undoubtedly put on wiltshere’ shoulders. Wenger ealy needs to be acting quickly to follow through on his plan and sort the team out before preseason starts.

Arsenal have reportedly completed agreements with 7 players and their clubs acoording to a member of AST. The 5 players which have been confirmed are Jon Toral, Hector Bellerin, Olsson, Oxlade-Chamberlain,Jenkinson.
The 2 players which are unknown are believed to be a striker and another unamed player.
It is believed that Arsene will break his transfer record twice.

No way no deal no deal, Eboue is always there to boost morale of our players, he truly loves the club and always play with a smile on his face, we don’t need him if it is going to cost us Eboue, plus we might be getting Miyaichi back and now that we got Jenkinson as back up RB, we can play Eboue as back up on the RW, he has excellent crossing, he wins a lot of fouls, Freekicks, Penalties

Taarabt is amazing, way better than eboue any day of the week. I was at the liverpool game eboue single handedly cost us, he is a liability at the back and is worse than Diaby going forward. Get Taarabt, it’s an awesome swap.

I believe we should do the swap. This guy’s football skills is special and can offer another 10 – 13 goals with 5 – 8 assist. He can fill that “pontential Nasri” gap. However if we could give them Vela or Dennilson instead would be better but by any means get this dude.

Eboue should stay. Bendtner wants to leave, so may be this will be the chance for him to go. Eboue made some mistakes but show me a single player in the team who did not make a mistake. It has been a problem at the club that we sale players who are die-hard gunners and want to hang on to players who want to go. As for our captain ever since this talk of going to Barca started, plays one game and misses the next 2 games due to “injury”. Lets count how many games Cesc played the whole season and then ask ourselves whether he is committed to the club. If he will still be at the club next season, it wont be because of his love for the club. As For Eboue you can see his committment each time he plays
