Wenger – Vieira must leave Milan, but he won't come to Arsenal
The Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira has lost his place in the France team due to not playing regularly for Inter Milan, and he is not at all happy about it.
He said last week when he heard that he hadn’t been selected by Raymond Domenech for the crucial play-offs against the Republic of Ireland: “There is no one on my level in France at the moment. I could come off as being arrogant, but I am sure of it.”
But Domenech has insisted that Vieira won’t be considered unless he is a regular for his club, and Arsene Wenger backs that statement by saying that Vieira needs to leave Inter.
“What he’s missing is playing time.” said Wenger. “To go to the World Cup at his age, you must play. But I think Patrick can regain his starting place for France,”
Wenger was then pressed as to whether that meant there was a place for Vieira in the Arsenal team, but Wenger said it would be difficult for the ex-France captain to return to the UK.
“If I had to bet, I would put my money on another country. It’s complicated for him to come back to this country,”
So there you have it. Wenger has clearly said that Vieira won’t be coming back to Arsenal, but will that stop the rumours up until January?
I doubt it!

has anyone red an interview with wenger where he tell of the reason for selling vieira? It was because it wasn’t working if he was playing vieira with cesc in mid! they couldn’t play together! He had to sell vieira, so that cesc could play! So why would wenger even consider bringing him back? and has he ever brought anyone back???
sounds as if it could be a tax thing stopping him coming back to the uk?
