Wenger – Walcott is not completely himself!
Arsene Wenger is not too worried that the Arsenal winger Theo Walcott, but thinks that he is still a few weeks away from being able to contribute fully to the squad.
Walcott has only played in one and a half games in the last few months due to his various injuries, and Wenger realises that his full recovery is still some way away from being realised.
“I am not worried about Walcott,” Wenger told the club’s official website, www.arsenal.com.
“What you can’t expect from Walcott at the moment is what he cannot give you.
“He needs some time to play and come back to full fitness. He has only played a few games this season.
“If he stays injury-free now, he will have a good end of season. But at the moment he is not completely himself.”
Walcott will be named in the squad for this weekends game against Chelsea, but from Wenger’s comments here, it looks like he will be starting from the bench.
