Wenger – We are Arsenal and we can win anywhere (but not the Spurs way!)
Arsenal are getting ready to face an in-form AC Milan at the San Siro, and Arsene Wenger is confident that the Gunners can win in Italy and has no reason to fear any team anywhere.
He was asked if he believed that this Arsenal team could even go all the way to the Final this time around, and he replied: “We are concentrated on every game we play. We do not choose the games. We are Arsenal Football Club and we just try to win the next game. Is it FA Cup, Champions League or Premier League? I believe it is important we are strong everywhere.
“If I would think we have no chance to win the game I would stay at home. I don’t like to waste my time and I believe that is what makes football interesting is that you can win everywhere. We have shown we can win everywhere and I have full confidence in this team that we can do it.”
AC Milan have been knocked out at this stage by English opposition the last three times they were in the Champions League and Wenger believes that Tottenham were a little lucky to go through last season as Milan controlled the game.
Although that tactic came through for Spurs Wenger believes it is better to try and peg the Italians back as much as possible. He said: “I have seen that game, yes,”
“Milan had a lot of the ball and Tottenham caught them on the break at the end of the game.
“You never decide when you break, you break when you can. It was a game which was vastly dominated, especially in the second half, by Milan.
“We will not decide at the start of the game that we will sit in our half if we have to, like Tottenham did. We will do it and then try to catch them on the break.
“But at the start we will try to get out of our own half and try to get up there and play. Spurs won the game when they were dominated, but that is football today.”
I personally don’t care how they win, as long as they do! But obviously a two or three goal cushion would be nice…….

I wouldn’t say Milan is on form. They did comeback at Udinese on Saturday (where we won at our worst) but before that they lost @ home to Juventus, drew @home to Napoli, and lost @Lazio.
They had a good 20 minutes at the end of the Udinese game. I wouldn’t consider that enough to be “in form” material.

I have a strong feeling my self about this current Arsenal Squad,
Sze
Sagna, Kocs, Verm, Gibbs,
Song, Arteta, Rocisky,
Walcot, RVP, Oxlade
The attack force alone in our squad is 1 to be feared. The media constantly gives arsenal stick for everything they do. A lot of arsenal fans moan about how we need signings and when things go well for us they stop moaning. Like the Eden hazard story how we are now saying we don’t even need him.
This is why i will always say In Arsene we trust. he doesn’t need to splash 30 million for hazard when he has oxlade who in my opinion has shown a lot more promise already in his start of his career than Hazard.
We need to back our team. I think Milan is going to feel like a tough game simply cos we’re away but for some strange reason i feel we’re going to thump Milan good, they won’t know what hit them.

My problem with our present squad is d midfield.none of them is able 2 deliver d final pass.d killer pass apart from song.even at that,song does it once or twice during an entire match.rosciky does a lot of running and turning around without any meanhngful impact.ramsey seems lazy.any way i still believe that wining at san siro is achievable because we are arsenal fc.we can win anywhere

WE CANT Play THE SPURS WAY, THEY HAVE BETTER INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS THAN WE HAVE, we have 1 goal scorer they start at least with 3-4 on the. pitch , they can start with vandervaart, and adebayor, and with midfielders like, bale, modoric, who can score, and even thier defenders score good goals. and they still have the likes of defoe, and saha. strength in depth in thier squad,. all we can turn to is arshavin who makes 1 good pass every 12 games he plays, and has not scored since adam did with eve, so no. we are not spurs, but i wish we had some of thier players and manager, colquolin and jenkinson also yanaaris are not premier league potential, and nor are they definitley not cl potential, waste of money all 3 of them, we need strong personalities to turn to, the likes of adams , bould, bergkamp, pires, vierra, we dont have them any more, only kids, who will never be greats like the ones i mentioned all had power physique skill, and desire, all had leadership which now we dont have, even fab, clichy nasri, toure , gallas they all had it and could turn games, our best players now are rvp, the ox, vermonator, and wilshire,and sagna. 5 out of a whole squad thats it,. and thats why with out our strongest 11 starting every game, we dont have a chance of winning anything, if rvp is not scoring tonight who do we bring on ?? who do we have thats good enough to replace the above 5 mentioned , i tell u no one, the bench is useless,i pray we get results in both matches against milan, also another test at sunderland but with out henry,then the biggest game of the season, spurs at home, these next 4 matches will make or break arsenals season and because we dont have the players or strength in depth. our season could be over ,

What we need is a leader. RVP tries his best but he’s not really captain material. When was the last time we saw our captain standing up to the referee or even to our own players. I’m also including Fab in this. But I think we need a captain like viera who knows no nonsense. Who can stand up to the refs and influence their decisions. AW always points to this fact, and I actually agree with him. I don’t know if you noticed but when ever an arsenal player tackles an opponent, the refs scrutinize the tackle, but when we go down they relax. And also when our own players play lazy (yes, am talking about arshavin), we need someone to get on them. You see having a manager is one thing but having some to respond to on the field is completely different. And just changing this situation can change our for the good and cause the players to give everything and develop a passion even unknowingly.This is highly evident at man utd. the manager understands that his commands can only go as far as the dressing room but after that the players need someone right by their side not necessarily yelling but also encouraging them to give every thing. So we need to either give RVP a tip about takin control or if he leaves, make either one of these players the captain. Song, Rosicky, Arteta, or Verminator. My personal incline is for Song but that’s just me.

What a sad way to bid Henry bye.Such a margin was never anticipated,we are out of the CL.The exit of Cesc, Nasri and Clichy was felt like never before.The defence was completely uncordinated and most ineffective today.TV5 and Kosc were floppy and Boateng and Robi made mess of them.Infact, arsenal was exposed today and i wonder the confidence to face sunderland.Milan outclassed our team in every department,a case of Goliath beating David silly.An eye opener for Arsene if he is ready to see.

The following were his school boy errors tonight:
1. Wrong Formation:Why was AOC on the bench? Ramsey should not have started this match.He should have come off the bench.
2.Why did Wenger take off Walcott.We needed more forwards in the AC Milan Box.He could have given us something special.
3.Removing Kos and bringing in Djorou was a dumb decision.
He should have made a double substitution(bringing in Arshavin and AOC) at that moment by removing Ramsey as well. Play AOC through the middle and Arshavin on the left flank.
4. We were loosing and Wenger just sat down. No instructions to the players.He thought they would figure things out themselves unlike the AC Milan Manager.
ARSENE WENGER OUT, STEVE BOULD IN. We need these banners and flyers against Sunderland. As long as Wenger is in charge, Arsenal football club will never win a trophy.It is not rocket science to figure out.
