Who would you prefer on the Arsenal bench: Chamakh or Bendtner?
With Robin Van Persie showing near-perfect form this year, his fellow Arsenal strikers certainly have a huge task to challenge for a place. Of course, even if he wasn’t scoring quite as much, Van Persie would still be first choice but the fringe players have a battle of their own to take part in.
Whilst Park looks like a fairly effective substitute, Chamakh has become unfavoured among Arsenal fans and his subsequent links out of the club is no surprise. His heading ability was one of the reasons Wenger brought him to Arsenal but the Moroccan has shown too little signs of much special talent in the past couple of seasons. It does seem a shame, though, that Wenger’s sole real target-man striker is a favourite for the door.
Bendtner is another striker with a point to prove, and his loan spell with Sunderland has been going surprisingly well. In fact, in his 13 appearances for club and country this season, he has scored six goals and assisted four. These are undoubtedly fairly impressive statistics but it seems unlikely that a player who openly voiced his wish to move away from the Emirates would be able to replicate that kind of form for the Gunners.
The chances of both of them staying until after this season look low. However, if one was to stay, who would Arsenal fans be happiest with? Would it be Chamakh, who has lost his form but has the talent in him somewhere, or would it be Bendtner, a complacent and egotistical grouch seemingly capable of more of an impact?

Bendtner.
But it doesn’t mean anything, since Wenger will continue to play a lone striker and Bendtner doesn’t like that.

chamakh by a mile cause he works hard, his modest n actually loves arsenal, bendtner is a coc* head, his like mario balatelli but sh*t n his sooooooooooooooo far up his own fu*king ass, it’s fascinating. chamakh will pull through he just needs arsenal fans cheering him, give a go against West Brom arsene

any given day chamakh …he brings lot more to the team …with his holding and heading abilities…the problem with him is the arsenal style of play ….he thrives on crosses wid this team he aint getting any of those may be one or two goals wil boost his confidence.
oon personal note both should be sold and v should buy benzema/higuain/villa to share rvp’s goal sharing load.

Neither…. NB52 has good qualities, but is over confident. Chamakh is great team player, but can not succeed in Arsene system that demands one striker and attacking Mids scoring 85% of the goals (Cecs/AA/Nasri/Theo..Now Gervinho/Ramsey/Arteta) when the attacking Mids are no longer here or are not covering the scoring. The real answer, Wenger failed to use both these players properly. And they failed to be What the Boss wanted in a Striker. Plus they are not Wingers or Henry.

I’d rather a subbuteo player than chamakh so I guess that answer is Bendtner

Well, if I had to choose 1, I would do as wenger has done & keep chamakh over bendtner.
I believe he offers more than nasty nick does BUT both could leave without me shedding a tear..
Park could be the perfect answer if Rvp gets injured or needs a rest & let’s not forget wallcott, the Ox or even arsharvin would cover adequately.

Neither are suited to the formation Arsenal play and though Chamakh can’t be faulted on his hard work and effort, Bendtner is the better out and out striker. He’s bigger, faster, stronger and he’s direct at goal. Chamakh is good with his head but Bendtner beats him there too. Bendtner for me is the likelier to score with brute strength and determination – it won’t be pretty but he’ll bag a goal. Chamakh will toil away with hard work and loads of energy and when put under the microscope, be seen to do nothing.
If Arsenal want to sell him though they best put Chamakh on display in the window for the buyers to see. Then maybe he isn’t there to stop buyers being put off. I like the player, but like I said he’s not suited in our formation. At least Bendtner can adap-t better to it.

never Bentner again please. I am from Denmark and tell u his just another loud voice than quality. I don`t want to see him again in our squad, if he is good for Sunderland it`s because they are far away from Arsenals quality, thats why he kan play that. F**him, let him be there. in the other hands Chamakh is good but the poor boy has lost his ability for some reason, i don`t know why every body comes to Arsenal at first play well and score gaols after they lose there quality maybe Wenger should think about it why?

id rather bendtner on the bunch
i think chamakh is a great striker with touch and dominance in the air. he is one that should be starting, but not on the gunners as RVP is the best by far and must see the field as much as physically possible for him. thats why i think he should pack his bags and go to a good team that could use a new target man like juventus or sevilla (away from the PL)
bendtner is only a relief player…

Actually neither… prefer to see on the bench, quicker and dynamic strikers, such as Sow, Podolski, Benzema, Tevez, Pato, Cavani, Kalou… vs the slower and more static strikers such as Chamakh, and even Bendtner, though to a lesser extent… I do think Chamakh has a lot to offer, and would be a great player for a different team such as Liverpool, Everton, Villa etc and of course many French teams… same goes for Bendtner… though the slower and more static types of strikers simply dont quite fit into the current 4-4-3 system Arsene plays, and also Arsenal’s style of play

Chamakh is better than B52. He needs more time n support to rediscover his form. While Bendtner shud be gone for good. He is juz a big mouthed fellow with no respect at all n claims to be a superstar in his own world! Gunners for life!

i tink both players would do well with club like liverpool, with arsenal the will always be good enough for the bench, however bedtner has failed arsenal in so many instances than chamak

I don’t understand how people can possibly say Chamakh is better than Bendtner :L btw it is in no way a surprise that he is doing well since his loan spell. . . . when he plays he scores!

B52 is much better stronger and scores crucial goals, remember last season.chamach is weak and its like he plays like a midfielder rather than a striker.

HULK or PODOLSKI MAN,
but only one of these, because the squad being too big will bring morals down, concerning too much competition for places,
for midfield also, only one big talent should come, either hazard, goetze or hamsik
defense also, only vertonghen

bendtner is good, chamakh too, but at the moment they’re not good enough. Base on quality, i prefer park, give him more chances and he will prove that he is the best of the three.

when was the last time chammack took on even a defender? When was his last shot at goal? Can he ever play as a winger? Does he have that confidence? Nooooooooooo. People keep on saying bendtner is loud mouthed, but have you wondered why he performs better for his country and now he is bagging in goals at sunderland? His national team coach once told wenger how to get the best out of bendtner but did wenger adhere to that? Nope. For me, wenger is no doubt a great coach but in bendtner’s case, he has failed.. You don’t get the best outta a player by using him out of position. When a player speaks his mind, pple say he’s loud mouthed but to me he’s confident of himself. Who says chammack cna even head the ball than bendtner? Bendtner is being compared to balotelli, and what do you see of balotelli? A player who understands football, a player who causes opponents to tremble at his sight, a player who knows how to take on defenders and who isn’t shy to have a shot at goal. That is bendtner like.

Chamakh would had been better if he could use feet to score as well… he can come into good scoring position but doesnt have dat touch…
as for bendtner it great dat he is doing well at sunderland so dat arsenal can sell him at good price…. next season.

chamakh all day long. B52 is too mouthy. The bad thing is for chamakh to regain his confidence and form he needs 10 games in a row where he starts and the wingers need to realise that chamakh is a beast in the air so cross in the air. Also Arshavin needs a run of 10 games in the centre where he can have a free-role. With Van Persie playing outstandingly well and ramsey continiously improving it will have to result to a change of our system, and with our current good run of form, we can’t afford it.

Chu Young Park could do a lot more and it’s not like he’s young, he’s knows what to do on that pitch just give him some time to settle
