Wilshere – Arsenal need a few new faces to push for title
The newest young Arsenal star Jack Wilshere believes that Arsene Wenger needs to bring in a “few more faces” to give the Gunners the push they need to challenge for the Premiership title this coming season.
“We are not a spending club but we still managed to stay up there with the top teams,” he said today. “And we have to win things this year.
“Maybe if we had a few more faces we could really push on. If we get a few more players we can really challenge for the title.
“Around March and April we have to stay really strong. We are confident we can be up and around it then so we have to remain strong at that crucial time.”
Wilshere also expects the Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas to join Barcelona, and is hoping that the club can deal with such an important loss. He said: “It would be a big loss, losing Cesc. He’s our captain and our best player. But we feel we can cope if he does leave. We’ll have to, there’s no other way around it.”
But will Arsenal cope by making Aaron Ramsey the new main man in midfield, or will Wenger actually bring in a suitable replacement?

I don’t understand how we do business.
We had Mata ready and we purposely let the release clause date slip by us just because we wanted to sort out Fabregas future. Didn’t we set last Sunday as last day for Barca? If Barca missed it, why should we pay more for Mata?
Then look at the CB deal.
We tried to sign Jagielka for 15 million, Everton wants 18 million. Our usual stubborness tell us that if we had decided 15 million, then 15 million is the correct price in the market, anyone asked for more means they are wrong. If we are unwilling to pay more, how about signing Samba which Everton willing to pay 12 million? Oh, the answer is no. Now seems that we rather sign Scott Dann.
Can I say the way we deal with transfer is like an old lady buying vegetable in the market and we put the our evaluation on the player’s price higher than the player’s quality despite knowing if we don’t sign certain players, we will ended up empty hand for another season?
Come on, bring back Dein, these bunch of people in the club just don’t know how to do business in a fast and clean manner.

I never been so angry in my entire life…W*nker should go teach kids in primary school if he loves them so much,this team is worth no more then a struggle for forth,a loser @ the helm lol,i thought he was hurt when he had to witness utd lifting the trophy next to him three seasons ago,but i doubt that he’s got any pride (the ferguson way)f*ck outta with your crap french legion,am pissed off..i don’t mind going 10 years without a trophy if the team was competitive & a game or two cost us the title,but not this way;when u can f*cking see what’s wrong but nobody doing anything bout it,instead they f*cking lie to their own supporters (the benzema talk)just to get ppl to buy or renew season tickets.

Among the disappointment we saw lately in the transfer market:
1. When can get Mata cheaper, they drag, and now Valencia wants extra 10 million. They could have set a deadline to Barca which is 2 weeks b4 Mata’s release clause expiry date is over but they didn’t. Too careless if u ask me. Now, Fabregas might still go to Barca and we will have to stick with Ramsey coz at 28 million, Wenger definitely won’t sign Mata.
2. GK, Steekelenburg once mentioned he wanted to play for us. We ignore him and he went to Roma. Then Shay Given, just 6 million, we also ignore him and let him go to Aston Villa. Until today we still cannot get rid of Almunia from our pay slip which eat us about 60k per week.
3. Striker, Gamerio, Falcao, Hulk, Cavani, all we don’t sign. If RVP injured, we have to depend on Gervinho who cannot attack from the air or Chamakh who we don’t know if his form in Morocco is back. And what if Gervinho’s form drop? Another thing is, Bendtner still in our pay slip while we don’t play him at all.
4. CB, another joke. Come on, linked with so many players and every time some reports said that we are almost there but at the end not there. Garry Cahill, looks like our player then things quiet down, fans heard nothing after that. Samba, he even came out and say that he will like to play for Arsenal and we need him, also nothing happened after that. We almost signed Samba in Jan but what happened next or now? Jagielka, Everton started to source for Samba but if I am Moyes, I will save my breath, Arsenal is just a team that try a lot but at the end deliver nothing. The same thing that happened on the pitch also happened in transfer market. Pass here pass there but at the end just won’t shoot because we just kept on waiting for the correct moment. Same like transfer, source here source there and at the end just won’t buy because we kept on waiting for the correct price.

What I don’t understand is why Wenger stopped to bring in players like Vieira, Henry, Pires, Overmars etc. any more.
Had he lost his touch on player selection or he lost his scout?
Or perhaps he knows who to bring in but was too afraid to do so without a propoer encouragement from David Dein?
If you look at players we brought in lately:
1. Reyes – left shortly after home sick
2. Hleb – Thought the grass is greener in Barca for him. It could be greener in Barca, but not for him.
3. Chamakh, Arshavin, Nasri – inconsistent
4. Cygan, Gallas, Senderos, Djourou, Squilacci, Silvestre, Diably – well their performance tell you all the stories and I don’t have to say more
Fabregas is a different case, he grew up with the INVINCIBLE. But look at Ramsey, who to guide him on the pitch?
Now I am not blaming Wenger for all these jokers and even SAF had his bad days with Owen Heagreaves, Andersson, Alan Smith, Roy Carroll, Carrick etc. but SAF was fast to cut the rope when an unnecessary burden is sinking the ship.
As for Wenger, he is TOO SLOW compare to SAF in this area.
If a player we signed looked good but actual he turn out to be bad, fine, everyone makes mistake, but quickly cut the lost and move on.
There is no need to LIE to yourself and hope that one day these players will wake up start to deliver.
If they can deliver, they already delivered like Wilshere, how many more season we need to give them to improve?
When we are giving them the chance, who is giving the fans a chance who are paying the salary from the board of director until the ball picker during the training?

sagna-cahill/mertesacker-verma/kos-verthongen/gibbs (quality n we only spent 33m) the keep every1 or replace cesc n or nasri buy a quality ST when RVP gets injured in winter

Wenger should definately stick with Ramsey. It would be a travesty if no talents like Denilson and Diaby got away with being given a shot at the first team but a genuine talent like Ramsey didn’t get afforded the same chances.

we can’t defend as a team,thats the problem,surely pat rice isn’t doing his job properly,with wenger’s blessing.
i know ppl feel loyalty to wenger,i understand,but for me i can never forgive a lier,he lied to us season after season n he knows all they doing is;saving money due to the stadium move,do i care?sell that f*cking stadium or have a long term strategy to get ur money back ffs,so the team on-field competitiveness stays on top,even the neutrals across the world knows what we need,everyone knows(from school kids to pundit)the board continues to think financial,that’s the reason am angry,so angry to the point i can’t believe myself!!all that & we’re only in pre-season,things needs to be done differently this time round.try a new number2 @ least,try to get martin keown n winterburn to the coaching staff,or simply,try a diferent manager.

Seeing how slow Arsenal has been in the tranfer market makes me wonder whether we would seal any other serious deal b4 31st Aug! We’ve to get seriousif we really want to challenge for the title. Bring at least two strong defenders, a midfielder and at aleast one more striker.
Losing the Emirates Cup should be painful enough to spur AW to action.
