Xerez are serious about Carlos Vela loan "It is possible"!

Vela could return to La Liga?
I reported the other day that the Arsenal and Mexico striker Carlos Vela was being looked at by Xerez with a view to a loan in the January transfer window. Well today Xerez have confirmed their interest and have said “it is possible he could arrive”.
Vela has only just returned from a long term ankle injury, and was still not fully fit when he came of the bench to help the Young Gunners beat West Brom in the Carling Cup last Tuesday.
Wenger was more than pleased with Vela’s “class”. He said: “When he [Vela] came on, straight away he made a difference, because he is dangerous in his control and in his movement. His class gives you something special but I feel overall it was a good game.”
It seemed that Wenger had ruled out any chance of another loan period for Vela when he said: “He needs more time, he is not ready. He was not even ready to start tonight but he needs to work. We have Van Persie, Bendtner, Eduardo and Vela as strikers, because we count Walcott more as a midfielder, as a right-winger. Of course he is in my plans, he can play as a winger as well. He can play wide left, wide right, he can play central, he gives you plenty of options.”
But Xerez seem to think that a loan is still possible. It was reported on Sky Sports this evening like this:
“We are looking to bring in a forward who can stop the lack of goals in the team,” a Xerez spokesperson said.
“We are looking at a number of options in the European and Spanish markets and it is possible that Carlos will arrive in the winter market.”
It is unknown whether talks are in progress, but it will be interesting to see whether Wenger thinks Vela needs a bit more playing time before taking the step up to being a first-team regular.
