Arsenal crock set for return against former club?

There is no doubt that Arsenal are coming out of the terrible run of injuries that wrecked our Premier League title challenge last season and carried on into the beginning of this one. Not including Abou Diaby, there are now just four first team Gunners out of action; with Mesut Ozil, David Ospina, Laurent Koscielny and Mathieu Debuchy remaining on the Arsenal injury list.

And three of those are expected to be available for selection again soon, with the France international right back Debuchy the latest to give a positive update on his recovery progress, as reported by Arsenal.com. And the French defender revealed that he is already working with the physio to get back into condition for a return to the pitch next month.

That means that Debuchy could be in line to make his Arsenal comeback against the club we signed him from this summer, as Newcastle United come to the Emirates on Saturday December the 13th. Debuchy has been out of action for two months now, since damaging his ankle in the game against Man City and he has been a big loss for us, especially since Laurent Koscielny joined him in the treatment room.

Debuchy admits that it has been very frustrating to pick up this injury so early in his Arsenal career, but he is also confident that he will come back strongly, declaring that the quality of players in the Arsenal squad and training them was already helping to make him a better player.

The Frenchman said, “My injury is now better. I work hard every day with the physio and I want to be back on the pitch in December. I’m looking forward to it.

“I was really proud when I signed for Arsenal and it has been frustrating getting injured so soon, but I am focused on coming back stronger. I am very positive about that.

“Training at Arsenal is an extremely high standard. I’m nearly 30 but I’m still improving by training with players who are of such a high quality, like everyone at Arsenal.

“It’s been more frustrating watching from the stands than being on the pitch. The last two games have been quite positive (Really??? ADMIN) and hopefully when we face Manchester United we’ll come out on top.”

It will certainly be a big boost for Arsenal to have our first choice right back on the pitch, because Calum Chambers will then be available to cover at the centre of defence or even start to play the odd game in front of the back four, as some think that the youngster could end up being an answer to our defensive midfield issue.

But firstly, having a full strength back four should help the Gunners to start putting the slow start to the season behind us.

      1. Ok, I picked this somewhere (must be the work of a fighting cock)………

Q: Which football team uses the most
        toilet paper?

A: Assenal and they have a coach called Assene

You see it? Huh? Huh? #WengerOut

            1. bro u need to chill with all this- wenger is going nowhere till the end of the season- do i want him to stay- no
but i accept they wont kick him out like that.

constant put downs an vitriol everyday wont change anything- literally nothing-

dont u get bored of everyday being negative- surely it must get annoying?

              1. Muff, I may see sh*t everyday, but just becuz I see it everyday doesn’t mean I should suddenly start calling it waffles.

                1. By the way, you can go on and keep silent cuz u don’t wanna sound boring and seen as always being negative. That’s ur own thing, MUFf. I am me and if what I don’t like doesn’t change, I never stop complaining, becuz when u stop, it could be taken that u’ve come to terms with such sh*t.

I DON’T COME TO TERMS WITH SH*T. Any day Wenger does the right thing, I will praise him and support his actions. But if he doesn’t do the right thing, guys like me will not shut up about it.

              2. I think it is important for fans to remember how it felt after the leads in 2 recent games were thrown away, after the draw with spuds, after the 8-2, 6-0, 5-1, 6-3 results, ALL happened on Wenger’s watch and as such he is responsible.
Arsenal fans can be a fickle lot and after a few wins and if we get 4th they will be ok for yet another year of this nonsense.
So @Muffdiver I have no issue with @kickass keeping the feeling, he has a right as a fan and is showing some determination.

I am an Arsenal fan NOT an Arsene fan, keep it real and don’t forget how far we have fallen!

            2. Off topic= Euro news = europes score prediction Arsenal 1-2 Man-U no wonder Europe is in such a mess, Cameron sort it out mate.

    1. Now Now if we win this weekend then beat Dortmount buy four W/C players in January go on to win the PL then CL and throw in the FACup, I just might forgive Arsen.

  1. vs ManU: Alexis will put us front, then we’ll play sloppy, then RVP will score a goal, and after that Rooney will score from a penalty, because the referee will be mike dean…. Wenger will not make a sub until the 71th, and at 2-1 he will bring in Sanogo. After that everyone will say WengerOut, but he wont. Bitter truth..

    1. You can thumb me down if you want. If you are i suppose youre happy with the last 10 years.. same sh.t every year. But i can tell you more: Monreal will make a big mistake, and people will blame him, but he IS NOT A CB. Beacause Wenger started this season with 6 people to 4 spaces, one of them is 19.. But yeah he is right..

    2. Welbeck will probably score against United.. For some reason, more often than not players seem to score against their former clubs when they have something to prove.

  2. here’s a crazy idea gooners, why not push monreal to play rb or play young bellerin then move chambers in the middle besides bfg? problem over. If wenger is crazy enough to play a lb as a cb then why not just put him in as a rb, he has the speed for it (which chambers lacks)

    1. Well, with Wenger, anything crazy will suffice. In fact, I think with Wenger’s stroke of genius, Matesecker could be playing as fales 9 against MUFC.

    2. Any back four which includes Mertesacker cannot be rated as “full strength”. How can a guy who can’t run, jump or tackle get to play for Arsenal! He won,t get injured ,will he? because he never does enough to sweat. Werder Bremen couldn’t believe their luck when we signed him, for more than Bolton wanted for Cahill…

  3. Debuchy is an experienced interns tombs Right back. He gets in the French national side over Sagna. He’s great going forward and his crosses are actually really good – surprising for an Arsenal player. I don’t feel as confident with him defensively though, he seems to get forward a lot and has been caught out a few times since joining. I guess he hasn’t really played enough in an Arsenal shirt to really judge though, he’s been quite solid when he’s in a 1 on 1.

  4. Can anyone enlighten me on what’s actually happened to Diaby? I read he tore his hamstring, the next day I read he hasn’t, but he’s still missing…

  5. Just taking a gLance at physioroom! ……. Boy!!!! one’s gotta envy the chelsea medical Team…… Do they use some sorta magicaL eLixir?……. And don’t get it started by telling me how many teams are having injured players

    1. Nope they have world class medical staff. We have team of monkeys working around the clock. Must feed the chimp
