Supposed Arsenal target Timo Werner has named Manchester City and Man United as two clubs he couldn’t turn down a move to.
The 21 year-old has been strongly linked with a move to our club in recent weeks, but he appears to have poured water on the move.
The North London side have been linked with a £50 Million move for the German international in the summer, with Werner continuing to consistent score goals for his RB Leipzig Bundesliga side.
Timo has managed to score three goals in his six Champions League outings thus far, and added to that with another two goals in the Europa League this week, and also has 10 goals in his 20 league appearances thus far this term also.
Werner has also cemented his place in the German international team with some sublime efforts for his country, and is swiftly becoming one of the most wanted players in the world.
Despite his reputation, he still remains at RB Leipzig, but you can be assured that there is plenty of interest in his signature, and you would expect that he would get his move to one of the biggest clubs in Europe come the end of the season, and he has admitted that there are clubs that he simply couldn’t turn down.
TW said: ‘If you take Germany, it would be a lie to say that you would not like to play for Bayern.
‘It would be a lie to say in England you’d not like to play for Manchester United or Manchester City.
‘Spain – Barca or Real. There are great clubs in every league. Italy or France would not be my leagues, but the other three.
‘There are so many clubs you’d like to play for. I don’t want to tie myself down. ‘I’ll see what happens.’
Arsenal had been linked as a potential suitor for him, but given that the club have already invested over £100 Million on two strikers in the past 12 months, I would find it hard to believe that we would be reinvesting in another striker so soon afterwards.
Can you see Timo Werner moving to the Emirates this summer?
