Burnley boss wants a career like Arsenal’s Wenger!

Sean Dyche has done extremely well for a young manager, even though his team are fighting for relegation from the Premier League this season. He has shown that he can set up his team to match the Big Teams at home, as proven by beating Man City and drawing with Tottenham in their last two games at Turf Moor.

Next up is the Gunners tomorrow evening, and Dyche has admitted he would love to have a career like Arsene Wenger’s. “They’re a fine side, who keep progressing despite what people say.” he said in the Express.

“Arsene seems to get questioned, I don’t know why, I think the job he’s done is terrific.

“Of course, I’m aware fans would like to have won more trophies in recent years but, as a young manager aspiring to progress in the game, I look at people like him thinking ‘you haven’t done badly if you have a career like his’.”

But his task is now to stop Arsenal winning their eighth game in a row, but the Clarets boss doesn’t seem particularly worried about playing another “superpower”. “We have to understand the opposition and counter that with how we work,” he said.

“Certainly against Tottenham we made it difficult against them.

“We edged the game against Manchester City and it’s not often you do that against one of the superpowers.

“I’m happy with how the team is operating this season.”

I have a feeling that he won’t be quite so happy tomorrow evening after losing 8-0 to this year’s League Champions 🙂 but he can console himself with the fact that Arsenal beat everyone nowadays!

  1. We cannot take Burnley for granted. We must treat this game as though it was Man City or United away. The Clarets are fighting tooth and nail to stay in the EPL.
Would only rest Kos, as we don’t want to lose him or run-in, and Gabriel is a good deputy.
Start same midfield and attack as for Liverpool – have Welbeck, Walcott, Rosicky, Chambers, Gibbs, Macey and Wilshere on bench.

  2. Burnley 2-1 Arsenal

Then we can finally focus on mickey mouse cup.

    Mickey mouse better than nothing

      1. there’s some sort of ties and relativity between Hafiz, craigzwe and davidnz …… Just thinking L()L

  3. we need to stop being complacent. we need to attack them to the ground and not be playing in our own half after we score one or two goals.

  4. Winning all our remaining matches is not impossible if we concentrate specifically on each upcoming match and we play each match with hard work ethic and passion.

Let’s concentrate on hard on Burnley an then move on to the next one. We have almost a full squad minus Oxlade and we have been playing the best football of the second half of the season. As long as Wenger puts out our best team available and the players play their best, good things will happen
