Chelsea man reveals reason Arsenal WILL lift EPL trophy

Just as the vultures of doubt in the football media were beginning to circle around Arsene Wenger and the Arsenal team, as they are always ready and willing to do at the least sign of weakness, the Gunners go and produce a fine and thrilling performance with three very good goals.

While that now has TV pundits like the former Arsenal forward Charlie Nicholas believing that we will do enough against Olympiacos in the final group game to qualify, as he told Sky Sports, it does not mean that anyone is putting much faith in us to actually win the competition.

Nicholas said, “Arsenal are a better team than Olympiakos.

“They can go there and win by two clear goals and keep the back door shut. I think they can do it but I’ve been here before time and time again, [for example] Monaco last season.

“[In 2012-13 Arsenal] beat Bayern Munich away but went out because of one daft goal. That performance is still there at Arsenal but they can do it.

“If two or three are back fit they should be good enough to take care of this.”

The one that we really want to win though is the Premier League and it looks like we have a much better chance there. So good in fact that the former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, who is no stranger to English football or winning trophies, has told Sky Sports that he thinks we will come out on top at the end of the current campaign.

Drogba accepts that his former club have fallen too far off the pace to reatin their title and while he expects Man City to put up a strong fight, Drogba thinks Arsenal will win it and as he told Sky Sports there is a very good reason for his belief, a certain Petr Cech in the Arsenal goal.

He said, “Chelsea is too far so I will go for my friend Petr Cech and Arsenal.”

The interviewer then asked Drogba if he thought Arsenal had enough to win it top which he replied, “They’ve got Petr Cech.”

Is the keeper really that much of a difference in the title race?

  1. What if we surprise the whole world including our self to win both UCL and EPL?? After looking impossible to make R16.

    1. muda

What ever your on I want some HAHA

But not absolutely impossible if and only if no more injuries and some additions in January

    2. For that to happen, we need:

      1) Ramsey to return to his 2012/2013 form
      2) Walcott to return quickly from injury and get back in the goals
      3) Giroud to continue scoring at the rate of 0.7 goals per game
      4) Ozil to continue assisting at his current rate
      5) Sanchez to shake off his poor form and continue his displays from last season
      6) To suffer no more injuries

      1. That brings our title chances to less than 40%. Anyway, we will know in January if the lads still have a chance or not. We just need one more defeat to keep Arsenal from statistically being able to win the title, since the second half of the season is way more difficult, considering we have a few very tough away games such as both manchesters, the balancing bird club and Liverpool.
That means that the lads really, really have to man up, not to repeat the performances such as West Brom away, spuds home and West Ham home, and give it their absolute best in those difficult fixtures. It looks more impossible than possible, but hey, it’s Arsenal, keeping our blood pressure on a risky high. That’s why we love ’em, right?

  2. “Even the Impossible says “I’m-possible”! So for both UCL and EPL we are still in the competition.
    Gunners let’s get going..!
