CONFIRMED Arsenal side to face Basel

So Arsenal are half going for it tonight with a side that is more than good enough to beat the Swiss Champions, and I am just a little surprised at how many first team players Wenger has chosen to start the match.

So here is his decision. Do you think he has picked the right players for such an inconsequestional game?

Here is the confirmed line up….

Ospina, Gabriel, Holding, Koscielny, Gibbs; Xhaka, Ramsey; Iwobi, Ozil, Lucas; Sanchez

Subs: Cech, Monreal, Mustafi, Elneny, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott, Giroud

What do you think? Is this the sensible team to choose, considering that we are already qualified and have nothing to gain from the match?

    1. i think wenger is right with the statement that sometimes stopping a player in form is more dangerous than resting him and anyway a worldclass player would want to play in any game with prestige (EPL or UCL) to better the stats ^^

  1. not bad, i think big players like sanchez would really want to play in every champions league match so wenger had to play them. COYG

  2. to all those aob’s. Holding? 2 Mill, future Arsenal legend. Perez? just banged 2 in, in a position walcott has been playing all season and never get in those positions. Eye for talent is exceptional.

  3. both chances were created by good view and passing of özil even if he doesnt have a lot of assists his play is really defense splitting

  4. Lucas Perez proved me wrong today with a hattrick, what a game. Arsenal on top of the group & im so happy, onto the next stage. I believe we are gonna do well this in the champions league this season. COYG….
