“I’m glad there’s interest in me.” Jakub Kiwior breaks silence over his future

Jakub Kiwior has broken his silence as several Italian clubs express interest in securing his signature. The Polish centre-back has spent a year at Arsenal since joining them from Spezia at the start of last year.

However, he continues to face limited playing time at the Emirates and is eager for more opportunities. Being behind several more established centre-backs at Arsenal, leaving the Emirates could potentially be a solution to his lack of game time.

Despite his desire for a move, the Gunners have insisted that he is not available for sale or a loan move, emphasising their need for defensive cover in the second half of the term.

Kiwior has now addressed the interest from clubs like Napoli and AC Milan in securing his signature.

Kiwior said, as quoted by Sport Witness:

“It’s definitely nice and I’m glad there’s interest in me. But I focus on what is now. Besides, there have been no talks with me yet.”

Just Arsenal Opinion

Kiwior may not start every game for us, but he is certainly not a player we can lose this month.

He is an important cover for the team in this crucial second half of the season.

Kiwior will be tempted to leave, but he also would want to finish the term in London and decide on his future in the summer.

  1. Reading between the lines, it would appear he’s not entirely happy with his situation at.hand in the Arsenal set up, surely he wants to see more action.

It is also in Arsenal intrest to keep ring rust away from the young Polish.

    1. It is far more obvious I would suggest , to most of us, than needing to “read between the lines”.
What some may regard as being astute and clued up, is sheer OBVIOUSNESS to more perceptive fans!

  2. If we hadn’t made such a dismal exit in both the domestic cups, the opportunity to play Kiwior would have been there.
We are in danger of going down the chelsea route, buying players for top dollar and then not giving them the opportunity to prove their worth, watching their value plummet and then give them away – Pepe being the absolute classic!!

  3. It’ll satisfy Kiwior personally of course if he’s played regularly in matches for Arsenal. But since the 2 Arsenal’s top CBs of Saliba and Magalhaes are undoubtedly ahead of him in the team ranking at ccentreback. In the position he specialised to play and operate from in the team. Thus he can’t start/play regularly at ccentreback. But does occasionally play in the position.
Hence, he’s being a times played at left back position when the LB position occupyer Zinchenko isn’t available to play.
The unforeseen circumstances has led Arteta to play Kiwior at left back. But instead of his alleged want to move on from Arsenal to Italian club sides this window. Kiwior SHOULD thank God and Arteta for his getting the opportunity for being trained as a left back player. Which if he seriously adhered to it, he could become a good versatile defender eventually at Arsenal soon . Who can play in multiple defense-line positions.
Kiwior SHOULD therefore stop nursing any overture to him to leave Arsenal this window if Arteta wants him to stay.
Even if he continues to play the cover role at Arsenal. It won’t hinder him from getting a regular call up by the Poland national team coach to play for his country Poland.
So, what’s the problem that’s bothering Kiwior? Let him not manufacture any for himself or be manufactured any for him to leave Arsenal this window.
