Man City join chase to sign unsettled Arsenal star (not Alexis)

Manchester City have requested that Arsenal keep them informed on Jack Wilshere’s availability, with his future relatively unsettled.

Jack is into the final 18 months of his Gunners contract, and has made some questionable comments since joining Bournemouth on a temporary basis this term.

The England international has declared his wish for a Cherries win over his boyhood club this season, as well as naming Chelsea the best side in the country, overlooking us, who at the time had been unbeaten from the beginning of the season, and still occupied second spot.

A new contract is said to be in the pipeline for Wilshere, but with him away from the club until the end of the season, his attitude toward the club may need to change before an agreement could be met.

Everton had already been reported to be interested in bringing the midfielder to Goodison Park, with his future uncertain to say the least, but Manchester City could well be looking to usurp their supposed interest.

The Citizens are claimed to have asked the Gunners to keep them in the loop as per the star’s availability, and should no contract agreement be met, they may well be forced to cash-in next summer.

Wilshere joined the Cherries this season in order to try and get his career back on track following a number of long-term injuries, and has managed to secure his longest run of first-team action without injury for a number of years.

Jack has now been touted as a potential replacement for Santi Cazorla for next season, with the Spaniard out of contract at the end of the campaign, but whether he can assure us that he will stay fit when he returns to play ‘the Arsenal way’, is a whole other story.

Has Jack been funny with our club since leaving on loan? Should we cash-in on his signature?

  1. If Jack decides he wants to leave, and considering that he will be in the last year of his contract that is a distinct possibility, then it is up to Arsenal to get the best possible price for selling him.
Who will pay more than Man City?

  2. I think it’s good that Wilshere is at Bournemouth. Even if there is a few weeks coming up that we might have used him in. We can properly gage his performances and see what he looks like injury free. I’m still doubtful that he can become an ever present in our side. You never know though, himself and Xhaka might end up looking interesting.
