So at last the international break is finally over and we can get back to the serious stuff of Arsenal’s race to the Premier League table. Not only did every Arsenal player score in the internationals, but it looks like we didn’t get any more injuries either.Wenger said: “From the internationals we only have positive news,”
“We are still waiting for Campbell, Alexis and Ospina to return, but they all texted back to say they are OK, so we just have to see if they were objective in their assessment.”
Obviously we are all worried about Alexis after his grin strain against Man United and I’m hoping that Wenger will rest him for this game. Koscielny is due a fitness test but I don’t think Wenger will start him even if he passes. No need to rush when Gabriel and Mertesacker seem to do okay together as well…
Mikel Arteta and Matthieu Flamini also return from injury so Wenger really has a big squad to choose from tomorrow, but I have a feeling after his comments earlier, that he intends to play his best team except for Sanchez and I think it’s time to give Giroud a confidence booster for at least the first half of the match, so I’m going to predict……
Cech
Bellerin Gabriel Mertesacker Monreal
Coquelin Cazorla Ozil
Walcott Giroud Ramsey
What we need is to race into a good lead (like against Man United!) and then sit back, relax, and save some energy for the Bayern game in midweek….
Does everyone agree with this team?
Suppose the questions on everyones botox injected lips…..
do we play alexis early late or not at all.
And if i punch my boss….will i be rewarded in the next life….
Pls let us know if Giroud is deployed as advanced DM or centre half?
Thanks
My suggested team for Watford:
Cech
Bellerin – Gabriel – Mertesaker – Monreal
Coquelin – Cazorla
Walcott – Ozil – Ox
Giroud
Subs: Ospina, Debuchy, Chambers, Gibbs, Arteta, Ramsey, Sanchez
……….Cech……….
Bell..Per..Gab..Mon
……..Coq..Caz……..
Ramsey..Ozil..Oxlade
………Walcott………….
Id start Alexis on bench just in case. If we have an opportunity to take men off for rest during game I would take Ramsey Cazorla along with one of Coq Ozil to rest for Bayern.
Is that lineup correct?
Ramsey looks a bit out of place
The whole context of this Article is so 1990’s
.
.
BTW i didn’t knw Ramsey was capable of playing on both wings L()L
Everyone at Arsenal played at least once as left wing. Ramsey is no exception.
mert, cech, bellerin????
Wenger thinks Ramsey can play every position except GK.
Whatever the lineup, Arsenal will need to play with quality and urgency.
Watford is no pushover. They have in fact lost only 2 EPL games this season – same as Arsenal.
this ain’t “Tinder” buddy!
off topic
That bellerin of a guy is a steal for Arsenal.created the most clear cut chances in Europe so far .He is simply a joy to watch !!
Lol lets see
Alexis starts. He doesn’t need rest. Ronaldo and Messi aren’t the only players in the whole wide world who can start every single game when fit.
I would go with walcott up front and go for the goals early then bring giroud on.
will that make u a happybLackman? L()L
Playing OG is not a good thing tbh but yes we do need to rest A S that goes without saying. I would even leave him out of the mid week game and put a team out and park the bus as they say. I think that will be enough and then take them in the last 10 with 12 men yep the fans
The lineup you have suggested is pathetic. I don’t think Giroud is going to displace anyone in the squad. If and all Alexis doesn’t starts then it will be Ox who will make it on the left wing the rest of the team will be the same….
Cech
Bellerin Mert Gabriel Monreal
Le Coq Cazorla
Ramsey Ozil Ox
Walcott
