Welbeck, Ox, Mane, fixtures and form ALL going for Arsenal?

With Arsenal currently in second place in the Premier League table but also trailing the league leaders Chelsea by a sizable gap of eight points, we know that there is little room for error or much leeway for the Gunners as we hope to mount a realistic challenge to Antonio Conte and his team’s title bid.

So far, or since we beat them with ease at the Emirates stadium in September, almost everything seems to be going right for Chelsea and we need that to change at least a bit if we are to stand any chance, but there are reasons for the Arsenal faithful to believe as this week throws up a great chance for the Gunners to close the gap.

We face them ourselves on Saturday and could really do with a win, so it is great to see Arsenal hitting some fine form and for Arsene Wenger to see returning players like Welbeck and Walcott playing so well and giving us great options.

As well as our own form, Arsenal could be helped with the way the fixtures pan out this week, as we face a struggling Watford side at home tomorrow while the Blues have the tough task of Liverpool at Anfield. Now you may say that Jurgen Klopp’s team have gone off the boil of late but I am sure they will be well up for the visit of the leaders, especially with their own title hopes still hanging in there.

And they will have the very effective and influential Sadio Mane back in the side after his early exit from the AFCON tournament in Gabon. We need a rejuvenated Liverpool to take points off Chelsea while Arsenal beat Watford and there is a good chance that will happen. That would then be the perfect way for us to head into a top of the table clash that could make it a perfect week. Fingers crossed Gooners and Come On You Gunners!

    1. It’s not only Mane, Chelsea need to watch. Countinho, Firmino and Lallana also. Against big rivals at Anfield, this Liverpool side twisting and wiped all things like Tazmanian devil.

  1. Am Happy that Arsenal players don’t think like the fans here on this case,if not,Keeping and tracking Chelsea nd liverpool player’s fitness would make them lose focus and game against watford. I will say it again and again, let’s focus on our game,we are the architect of our league position.
