Arsene Wenger and all the Arsenal fans will be honorary Canaries for the night and if we stop short of donning the tellow and green of Norwich City then we will at least be cheering them on when they travel to the south coast next week to take on Southampton in a third round FA cup replay, because whoever wins that match will be Arsenal’s opponents in the fourth round.
The Gunners are away as well so you can see why we could do with Norwich City winning and as the Saints are involved in two midweek games against Liverpool for a chance to reach the EFL cup final at Wembley and after their Europa League involvement then we can hope for an FA cup upset.
If not then Arsenal and Wenger have a problem, as we have already been unceremoniously dumped out of one cup competition by Southampton this season. That means that if our manager really means what he says about making the FA cup a priority then he will have to field his strongest possible side and with the injury problems that Arsenal have been having to cope with that is not the ideal scenario.
We will have to wait and see just how the squad is looking but it could well be that Wenger is forced into a decision between the best interests of the FA cup and a realistic chance of challenging for the Premier League title.
Bob.
Be careful what you wish for as either team can beat us, if we aren’t careful
We need to play a stronger team
I’m fine with Ospina but we should play either Debuchy or bellerin on the right. No Adelaide or Jenkinson please. I don’t mind Holding or Gabs in CB but with Koscielny
I think we should play Ozil, Lucas, Ox, Giroud
The next match is very loseable so play a stronger side but more importantly the team needs to work their behinds off.
FA Cup is best chance for a trophy
