Where was Fabio Vieira during the Chelsea-Arsenal game?

Fabio Vieira’s absence from the Arsenal squad that faced Chelsea in the Premier League over the weekend raised questions among fans. While Aaron Ramsdale was also missing from the game, his absence was due to expecting a child, and he wouldn’t have played a role regardless.

In the case of Fabio Vieira, the Portuguese star was not in the squad, not because of an injury or fitness issue, but rather as a tactical decision made by Mikel Arteta, reports Football London.

Despite being a valuable impact substitute for the team this season, Arteta opted to select other players for the match. Arsenal managed to secure a 2-2 draw against Chelsea, thanks in part to the form of Leandro Trossard, but Vieira’s presence could have potentially made an even greater impact off the bench.

Just Arsenal Opinion

Fabio Vieira has indeed been a valuable impact substitute this season, and his presence could have posed challenges for Chelsea had he played in the second half of the game. Nevertheless, it’s important to trust the manager’s judgment in these situations.

If Vieira is deemed to be a player capable of making a significant contribution, it’s likely that he will have opportunities in the next game, whether that involves starting against Sevilla or playing a role as a substitute. The decision to include or exclude players is often based on the tactical approach and specific game plan for each match.

  1. Where WERE PARTEY, AND VIERA WHEN WE NEARLY LOST TO CHELSEA ??????
Amazing that people think of Viera ahead of Partey. Let’s not bury our heads in the sand and think we can push good performers out of the team and wish our preferred ones into great performers.
