Which of the two loanable PSG stars would Arsenal fans prefer?

Arsenal are one of a number of clubs in the Premier League that are said to be on alert after the French champions PSG made it known that two of their first team stars would be allowed to move on from the Parc Des Princes in the current winter transfer window.

The two players in question are the Spanish international and former Real Madrid forward Jese Rodriguez and the Poland international central midfield star Grzegorz Krychowiak and for those of us who keep up with all the Arsenal transfer rumours both names will be familiar as they have been linked with possible moves to north London in the past.

Whether that means that Arsene Wenger really is keen on either of the players or not we could soon find out, as The Sun is reporting that both have been made available and maybe even on loan.

Which, if either, of the two would you prefer Arsenal to bring in? The obvious choice for me would be the Pole as he is a tough tackling central midfielder and with Coquelin on the injury list and Elneny at the African Cup of Nations we are a bit short there, but I am not sure about signing him on a permanent basis.

Jese has great pace and can finish, but with Welbeck coming back and Arsenal already having Walcott, Alexis, Lucas Perez, Iwobi and the Ox, would Jese even get a look in? What do you think Gooners?

  1. I rated Krychowiak when he was at Sevilla and am surprised he hasn’t kicked on at PSG. If it’s a loan with option to buy I hope Wenger jumps on it. I think he would slot in pretty quickly.

  2. Despite the long & short term injuries suffered by Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin and with the absent of Mohammed Elneny to Afcon all the trio at the midfield base of Arsenal, I am of the opinion Le Prof should use this winter transfer window opportunity to strengthen his midfield base with a top attacking/defensive midfielder who can perform the two tasks at the same time if he can find one at the transfer market.

As it is now at Arsenal midfield base, only true mid fielders of Granit Xhaka and Ramsey are available to play in that position for Arsenal. The Ox is not an out & out midfielder but an attacking mid-front trio midfielder who operates mostly at any of the 2 front wings.

If we are going to win this season’s PL title, we cannot afford to drop any points again more than the ones we’ve dropped already in this race to lift the title trophy. Not even in the interim for the absents of Coquelin, Elneny and Cazorla should Le Prof allowed Arsenal to drop any points but he should plug any lope holes which could lead to Arsenal dropping points in their remaining 18 PL games. I think Le Prof should sign one more player of attacking and regular goalscoring prowess to up Arsenal chances at catching up and surpassed the teams who are currently ahead of us in the table.

  3. We should see if we can identify a replacement for Cazorla. This is the second season he has missed, which means his fitness cannot be relied upon. If this was another Arsenal player fans would be slagging him off and wanting rid. Diaby as good as his skills were was useless to us. If we can get a replacement now well then next season there’ll be none of that bedding in time. And there’s a chance he could be very important right now. I reckon Wenger should have an idea already on who he sees as a nice fit. Offer whatever it takes and then get Alexis signed, this would be huge.

  4. Do we need to waste money at every given opportunity? Apart from having a top stiker better than giroud and a winger better than Walcott, I think the team is fine. We don’t need to spend at any opportunity that presents itself
