Jack Wilshere is claimed to be a priority signing for Turkish giants Fenerbahce, but would the player or Arsenal consider a winter offer?
The 26 year-old has been a huge talking point this season, with the midfielder tipped to be England’s creative spark for next summer’s World Cup in Russia, and with potential suitors also keenly monitoring his future due to his contractual situation.
Wilshere is into the final year of his contract, and is said to be trying to prove his fitness in order to earn a new one, The recent reports all point towards Arsenal wanting to keep their former youth product, and the midfielder seems adamant that he also wants to stay, but that hasn’t stopped clubs from eyeing a move.
Fenerbahce are claimed to have made signing a creative midfielder a priority this January, and are looking to make a move to sign Wilshere in the coming window. They would of course be able to enter into contract negotiations in January over a potential free transfer next summer, but a winter move is believed to be preferred.
From all I have watched and heard, both Wilshere and Wenger are keen on continuing to work together, and Jack certainly looks like he has a big role to play in our season if he can stay fit.
Unfortunately that is a big question mark following a number of setbacks in recent years, but Arsene Wenger is trying his best not to overuse the creative midfielder, and with any luck his extended time working into his key role will help him to stay fit through-out the campaign.
Is there any chance that Wilshere would quit the club in January? Would Jack consider an exit if no contract is on the table before the winter window?
