Arsenal identifies the positions they must strengthen in the squad

Arsenal are poised to return to the transfer market to bolster their squad after this season, following their disappointment in the Champions League.

While they still hold hopes of clinching the Premier League title, Manchester City’s current lead places them in a favourable position.

Despite showcasing excellent form in certain matches since the beginning of 2024, Arsenal’s shortcomings have become apparent.

Recognising the need to capitalise on the upcoming transfer window, Arsenal is determined to enhance their squad significantly.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, Arsenal has identified areas within their squad that require improvement.

While the Gunners are expected to prioritise the signing of a new striker, they also aim to strengthen their midfield and defence.

Although Arsenal possesses viable options in these areas, Mikel Arteta’s side is committed to fortifying these segments of their squad to enhance competitiveness.

Just Arsenal Opinion

The best clubs in Europe often strengthen their squads, and we must continue to sign players if we want to be called one of the top European clubs.

Hopefully, our next set of signings will give us that extra push and help us win the league or Champions League.

ADMIN COMMENT

So here are some simple rules which I must insist commenters follow….

You agree not to give any personal abuse to other Arsenal fans. Everyone is allowed to hold their own opinions even if you disagree with them. It COSTS NOTHING TO BE POLITE TO OTHER ARSENAL FANS.

  1. Arsenal must have the right scouting to get the desired targets.
Kai Havertz, Zinchenko, Gabriel Jesus, Vieira, Lokonga, Tavares are a lot of money poorly spent. Perhaps, since Edu and Arteta have been there, the only good signings have been Odegaard, Partey, Rice, Tomiyasu, Kiwior, Trossard and Timber. There has honestly been some very poor scouting when compared to the signings of Manchester City within the same period.

Promote at least Nwaneri as saka’s back-up as well as Skelly in midfield and effectively give them game time.

Not giving game time to Emile Smith Rowe and Nelson has led to them dropping in value. We can’t get good money for them.

      1. Gabriel yes. White not really because he was bought as a CB, but couldn’t quite cut it as intended. It was a stroke of good luck that he turned out better at RB, but for £50m, there are better RBs out there for that price

  2. A striker is essential along with a quality RW to rotate with |Saka. A DM would be required to replace Partey and also preferably a LB.

    1. Arteta and Edu are looking at multifunctional players- players who can play in different positions.Recruitment has been good, every manager has signed players who have been unsuccessful, even Pep and Sir Alex;Ralph Milne for those my age and Pep I seem to remember the ex Barcelona keeper to name a few! Ben White has been a success
